I am trying not to get too optimistic, but just thinking about Hansen throwing to Simas, SImmons and Clemons does kind of get me excited a little bit.

Hanse is fine in today's practice

Cody got only one shot and made it to be a INT

Im most excited about clemons. He is a real deal.

The offense has to be better on experience from last year.. I have some high hopes for Toney C as well..

How about Scotty? No love for the man with the CU record for consecutive games with a reception? 8 wins at least this season...

scotty's great. runs good routes, has chemistry with the qb's, catches almost everything in site, but cant take it the house like the other guys can. he fits his role with the team perfectly though.

Yep, Scotty reminds me of Blake Anderson playing with Michael Westbrook and Charles Johnson. At least I hope we have some big playmakers again!

I love the idea of Scotty in the slot. Working against either the 3rd best corner on the other team or maybe a safety or linebacker (especially if he's threatening the seam against the zone). I honestly don't think anyone can cover him if he's running those underneath option routes. He could be like Wes Welker has been for the Pats.

Edit: And it's a good audition for Scotty to show what he can do from the position he's mostly going to get an NFL shot to play (at least as an UFA).

And an offensive line that gives him time to find those WRs gets me excited!
I'm most excited about Prince. From everything I've heard he's bringing just the kind of fire and confidence this team needs (Much like EB did under Barnet). Prince may be our biggest impact player this season and he won't even don a helmet.

Scotty is more dangerous with the addition of real speed receivers. I'm starting to get a little excited, too.

I'm sorry to say it, but every time I catch myself getting the least bit optimistic, I'm reminded of how good I felt going into last season. I then come crashing to reality.

I'll believe it when I see it. I have zero faith in this staff to get production out of these players. zero.

Nebraska and Missouri are going to be very tough to beat next year, but after them, it's all pretty even. Worst case scenario, Talkins manages to win 6 games, we go to the Oblivion Bowl get beat, but Talkins convinces AD "Next Year". Here we go again.

Thats what I see too. 5-6 wins, the csu game will decide whether we are a bowl team IMO.

It looks good now, but like sackman, I'll believe it when I see it...

I fully expect Dan to find some new and creative way to screw this up as well.
