Darrell Scott to Cincinnati?

Well that gets him much closer to home. I wonder why none of us considered the Cincinnati angle. It seems so obvious now.

Interesting that a BCS bowl team is after him. I would have thought he'd land lower then that. Regardless, I'm not sure he makes much of an impact

Buff fans, if you've ever wondered...
Wondered whatever's become of me.
I'm redshirting on the bench in Cincinnati

Bearcats can have him. The adventure continues for a kid whose biggest highlight on TV was putting on a Buffaloes hat at an ESPN Zone 3 years ago.

If you have ever had Cincinnati Chili you would understand this move.

Can someone give me the short version of this unicorn thingy? I must've been on vacation for that.

Since we are an inferior football program with nothing to offer recruits, we must resort to giving unicorns to top recruits to get them to sign with us. We got Darrell Scott that way, but unfortunately he was not treating his gift right so we had to take it from him.

We also had a problem with the next shipment of unicorns so we needed his to give to a recruit this year. That recruit was Munchie Legaux. Munchie thought it was a slight towards him that we could only offer him a used unicorn and didn't buy our shipment problem story so he decided to sign with Cincinnati.

Since he didn't sign with us, he didn't get to keep our used unicorn, but Darrell Scott thinks we did give the unicorn to Munchie or another recruit and that's why we weren't giving it back to him. Extremely upset with the way our coaches were handling Darrell's situation, he decided to drop off the football season in a quest to find his unicorn.

There were rumors that it somehow found its way to UCLA or Arizona initially, but because of our extensive inside knowledge on AllBuffs, we leaked the information that the unicorn was intended to go to Munchie and Darrell has finally made the connections to get himself to Cincinnati to find his precious.

CU's recruting tactics are strictly top secret. Of course kNU isn't in need of these secrets. But if you were, you'd benefit from a few stamps of blotter acid to truely appriciate them.

cincy isn't exactky an academic powerhouse. i would have liked to have seen it work out for DS at CU, but he wasn't exactly Marcus Dupree was he?

yeah. let's all rip on Darrell Scott now.

a 1, a 1, a 1, 2,3,4...

you guys lick tapir taint.

I actually wish him well. I would have preferred to see him become a star in Boulder but quite frankly there are a lot of things that I would have liked to see happen in Boulder the past four years that haven't including actually winning more games than we lost.

How much of DS's failure to stand out is his fault and how much is the fault of Hawk and his regime is up for discussion. It would be pretty easy to make arguments that both share enough fault in the situation to be blamed.

That said he is a young guy who committed to CU when he could have gone a bunch of other places, it didn't work out. Will it work out at Cincinatti? I don't know. I do know that he had a lot of talent when he got here and somehow it didn't turn into results on the field. If it does work out for him elsewhere then we have yet another reason to look at Hawk and what he has done here. If it doesn't work out, DS will be another example of a highly rated guy not living up to his hype. He won't be the first and he won't be the last.

I have a hard time getting upset with a guy his age even if I am dissapointed. Lots of guys make mistakes and lots of guys need some time to find themselves, I look at myself when I was that age and can't say that I would have handled it any better.

Our anger and frustration is much better spent looking at why they guys we are bringing in and have here aren't succeeding rather than taking it out on the guys who leave.

Good luck to Darrell Scott! I'm sorry I cursed you and katoa with the picture of doom.

I use that line about once a week, and have since the 70s (?). It never gets old...for me.

WKRP in Cincinnati is one of the all time greatest sit-coms. Every character brought something unique and interesting to the dynamic of the show.
