In light of Colorado's current headlines (Hang in there Brandon!)
I thought a look at few other college team's situations would be interesting:
A Year in Crime: College Football's All-Dismissed Team
This (above) article/barely touched on Oregon -- with LeGarrette Blount acting like a thug, on the field, in front of the coaches and refs -- half the team involved in some kind of melee involving all of the team's kickers and ending with a bunch of guys (including a walkon DE, the quarterback and a top WR) getting in more trouble in a mistaken attempt to venge their guys. But there's more: racism, drunk driving, facebook ... you get the idea. So read all about it here:
Oregon Ducks: The Soap Opera

I thought this was a typo, because when I searched, one article said
Three Vols Players Arrested
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4647094
and the other article said
Four Vols players arrested, suspended
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=4788521
But no, there ARE two articles. The "three" article is football players and the "four" article (two months later) are basketball players. Got it? Try to keep up.
And in other news ...
After bragging that "LSU's football program has not had a player arrest in more than a year" you just knew something was going to happen.
First, in March 2010, LSU wide receiver Terrance Toliver and a basketball player decided to take on a policeofficer (not a well-thought out idea).
And today, there's more:
LSU center Hebert arrested for DWI
LSU had a center taken out today for Driving While Impaired, which seems tame after all the armed robberies, etc. that other schools are managing.
Hebert's been suspended from the team. Natch.
And two guys from Arkansas --- controlled substance possession.
Actually, I give up.
If you put "football players arrested" into google, there are 7,590,000 matches. It's depressing.

May 3: LSU center T-Bob Hebert, son of former NFL quarterback Bobby Hebert, has been arrested by campus police for drunken driving following a minor accident in a parking lot.
And two guys from Arkansas --- controlled substance possession.
