If PAC leaves us out, why wouldn't the Big 10 want us???

I understand we don't fit in there as well as the PAC10 but seriously, especially if they take NU. You get natural rivals and with CU another big TV market (and growing).

At this point, I would rather CU go BIG10 than PAC10+TexASS. But it doesn't sound like it would even be an option so I guess my point is moot.

I just can't beleive that this is all happening!?!? I wouldn't have minded UT and aTm going with CU and Utah but I don't know now with all the other south teams involved.

It sounds like either way (PAC16 or Big 12) we are going to be stuck with TexASS and their posse.

Mmmmmmm...road trips to Ohio. Or maybe East Lansing Michigan anyone? I spent two years at Purdue, I'll pass on any trip back to that God-Forbidden ****-hole.

Honestly, I was excited about expansion when it involved travelling to cool places. However, being a small fish in a small division, with big, big dreams seems a lot better than any affiliation with the mid-****ing-west, in my opinion.

Kind of what I've been thinking about. I foresee a scenario where we get left out of immediate expansion but get invited to the Big 10 when it goes to 16 five or ten years down the line.

I can guarantee you that Delaney and his boys are watching this closely. Alvarez previously confirmed that CU was already on their list, though it never really received much airplay. I bet CU is currently shooting up their charts. It may cause them to abandon some of their eastward ideas if they see western potential. However, it would seem that Nebraska and Mizzou would be prereqs at minimum for us to be involved. And right now, I'm not so sure that NU and MU are safe bets anymore (with talks of ND being the 12th and only addition).

That wouldn't bother me much. Not a BIG 10 fan but that sounds better to me than being stuck with the Texas+posse and their controlling arrogant ways!

Huh?? How did you not like Purdue? Nice little midwestern college town. Harry's Chocolate Shop is legendary. You must have been bullied by the Sigma Chi guys...

Sigma Chi guys were pussies. I did get my ass kicked on the SNU (whatever that stands for) lawn once. No, it's a weird little place there in West Lafayette--I couldn't leave quickly enough. I'm just not a midwestern guy, I guess.

Harry's is legendary though, and the girls seemed more amorous there than at CU, so I guess that's a bonus.

Nice! I've known some hotties from PU. However, the biggest knock against the school is its guy/girl ratio, which is alarmingly in favor of sausage since its a technical school.

I mentioned Sigma Chi because all the famous Boiler QB's were SX... Griese, Everett, Brees, et al.

I have zero Big Ten connections so any thoughts I have there are just speculation, but assuming ND turns them down AGAIN and UT forces Baylor on the Pac, maybe the Big Ten would be interested in a CU-NU-KU-Mizzou addition? In my mind, the only way reaching out for CU would work is if 3-4 others from its region would go too.

I like that, but I think the Kansas legislature just came out with a statement saying that KU and KjSU are attached.

I can't see CU working out in the Big 10 although the money is nice and CU won't get stomped on by Texas in that conference.

I think the Big 10 has too many options...also they are likely to want at least one, probably two Eastern partners to bring Penn St closer to the rest of the conference.

Blah -- and I knew that too! Sorry, I left KSU out but meant to include them, as I know they're a package deal with the Beakers.

I know the Big Ten wants to secure the east coast, but really, they have worse options than taking CU, NU, Mizzou, KU and KSU. I realize that won't happen, but it could work and those schools would serve as a bridge for CU. I just can't see them taking CU without a bridge school or two.

Why?...

Why do we not insist that csu and AF go with us on a move? Why is Kansas dictating the rules. is this not the same legislature that banned evolution from the public schools? I here they are going to ban gravity next.

What power do the have?

As for Texass, recently Cali banned or tried to ban text books printed by the hillbillies from texass.

Because CU's little brothers aren't in a BCS league. Why is OSU, A&M and Tech going to the Pac? Same deal with the Kansas schools. Hell, KU was probably left out because they didn't want to even deal with possibly having to take KSU.
