It seems to me that whether the P10 chooses to invite CU or BU will dictate the relationship between Texas and the conference going forward. If the P10 succumbs to pressure and invites Baylor, it will be opening the door for UT to dominate influence in the conference like they have in the B12.
If however the theory that they have already offered CU is real, they have in essence dictated the terms of Texas' P10 membership going forward, should UT then accept. I think the way Texas does things is foreign to many in the Pac10, and they might find it a little repulsive. Of course, lots of cash will cause one to put up with a bunch of bull**** as well.
