Best case for CU at this point?

What does everyone think?

Are the Buffs better off with the P16 (including UT and the rest of the south, sans Baylor)?

Would the P12 be better with just adding CU and Utah?

Or is there any scenario where only CU and UT come to the P10 and they stop at 12?

I kind of doubt the last one because that means the SEC is going to 16. I don't think anyone is going to sit around and let that happen without going there themselves.

I've heard the Pac want just UT as their #1 choice to get to 12 teams. While we would not be rid of UT, it's a helluva lot better than bringing the balance of the B12 south to the PAC.

My hope is that some of these Tex/OK schools peel off on their own (OU? TAM?) and Pac can go back and pickup a Utah or something like that, while still getting to 16 teams. Anything to shift the power west and away from Tex is good with me.

Going to the Pac with Texass would be far more palatable if they weren't able to bring their toadies with them.

I hadn't thought of that, but I would like that if the added teams made sense. Get UT for the $$ (I hate to say that, but CU needs the $$), but not the whole south. Maybe UT and Tech? Let OU and aTm go SEC? Then who do you get for the other 3? Obviously Utah, but who else would be a good fit?

I agree, but do you think that's even an option?

I heard someone say it is, although I don´t know his sources, but he usually isn´t a bull****ter. I could happily live if it was just UT w/o the whole Texas family.

I think it is long term best for the conference to go to 16, either now or within a few years.

I wouldn't mind seeing Utah, Kansas and Mizzou included whether or not Texas goes too...
