This was the best day CU has had in several years.

Agreed, still trying to convince some this was good

The only people who don't think this is good are people who aren't CU fans. I can't think of anybody associated with CU who doesn't like this deal. I know of a lot of non-CU people who think it's awful. What does that tell you?

No a CU fan I know doesn't like it

No doubt Sacky. We have had an interesting (mostly in bad ways) last decade. This is a great ****ing day. I love it.

breaking the traditions with the Big 8 brothers

I can respect that. My personal feeling is that the Big 8 died 15 years ago. Slowly, over time I got over that "Big 8 feeling", and now it just lives in a special place in my heart. That was one kick-ass football conference though, wasn't it? But it's dead, and the Pac is exciting, fertile ground for CU.

breaking the traditions with the Big 8 brothers

Those traditions were broken when we became part of the Big 12. Looking back it is easier to see this.

I was on the fence a few months ago regarding the Big 12/Pac 10, but I am thrilled today. The only thing that would make me happier was if Texas opted not to go to the Pac 10. I haven't read the threads in a few hours to know what the rumors are on that story, but the Springs news seems to think they will accept tomorrow.

Allbuff members have put alot of energy into this topic over the past week. This site has been an awesome display of Colorado brotherhood. The opinions of you guys and gals provided an awesome counterbalance to Chip Brown, Buddy Jones, Kenneth Starr, Kiszla and the Denver Post idiots, Turdtardo, and all the other non-believers.

Based on all site hits and increase in new posters, this site provided a great service. In some small way, everyone who read and posted on Allbuffs is responsible for this glorious outcome. Thank you, thank you, thank you. For being Internet sCUm, you are my kind of people.

I'd gladly give a global rep to everyone, if I could.

It was most gratifying to be mentioned with national power players in college football after being relegated to the shelf for so long.

Which Big 8 brothers? The ones that will be in the Pac-16, the ones that will be in the Big 10/11/12/____ or the ones that are going to get screwed over?? One way or another, "traditions" were going to get broken...

Right after the announcement this morning I was reading some of the other boards (specificly) ku, ksu, osu, isu, none of them are to happy with CU right now. Their just feeling real jelous now becouse of what the future doesn't hold for them.

GREAT DAY ! Especially if texass doesn't get in. I hope were looking at them in the rear view mirror.

Agreed, this was a fine day to be a Buff, I can only think that the powers to be did not allow Talkins to have input or we would be headed to the SWAC....

Yeah that moron would have us on probation and in the NAIA. Second bit of great CU news this year will be the day Hack is given his pink slip.

CU today became a leader again. It's refreshing we're (edit = you're) the first to bolt from the Big XII. Almost as refreshing being the #1 courted school to the Pac.

Today was the most excited I've been about the football program since December 1, 2001. I came close two games into the 2003 season (my only year as a CU student) after Klatt leads the team to a rollercoaster win over CSU and then UCLA at Folsom, but soon learned to temper my excitement and my expectations and have been setting my sights low ever since. Either a renaissance with the current staff or a promising changing of the guard and some recruiting wins and this move has the potential to be something really special. Bring on the Pac.

Most excited I've been since the team was 7-2 and ranked in 2005.

Was listening to Big Al/DMac today, heard DMac say some really ignorant things ("CU turning its back on the state of Colorado, wants to be like California" and "it is unlikely that they will be competitive in the Pac 10 even if Texas and Co. don't join"). One caller said that CU should have joined the MWC and that he would stop contributing to the school, said that Boise, Air Force, CSU etc. were all superior programs over the last 20 years. I called in and was on hold forever, didn't get on the air to set that Dbag straight. Alfred said it was a great day for CU. I'm calling in tomorrow.

Just a great fricking day! The only way to have made it better would have been to have a top flight fb coach on board as well.
