Question on Pac 16 possibility

Seems like CU fans wanted originally to go to the Pac 10 to be around better academic universities and join schools more in line culturally than B12 schools were to CU.

Now I am seeing some CU fans excited to bring in Texas and their minions. I don't get this.

Why would you be excited if Texas Tech, OSU, and OU joined the Pac? They lower the academic reputation of the Pac and are polar opposites culture-wise. I understand why you joined the Pac 10 (kind of had to) I just don't get why some fans would be excited to see Texas and their little brothers join too. Won't you just be in the Big XII South with the occasional game against a Pac 10 school?

I don't know of too many CU fans that are excited about UT and their lackeys coming to the Pac. Most would prefer it just be UT.

I'm indifferent on if UT comes. I do feel getting them one on one where we can compete and recruit against them for their kids will be a tremendous boost for CU on and off the field. I know we won't get the lion's share of the best players in state, but the 2nd tier of athletes coming out of Texas are better than most 1st tier type players from other states we're getting right now, especially in the speed category.

I'm not as high on OU, OSU, and Tech coming over. Tech is garbage. I'm ready for them to fade into irrelevancy in the next decade, where they came from. OU/OSU strike me as better fits for the SEC. Would rather see them go to the SEC.

Probably because you are o.k. with being in the Big 12 South/Pac 10 East and I just ruined your day.

No. It's probably because the only person who has said that he wants UT and it's lackeys to go to the Pac is you.

First off all UT has great academics.

I have mixed emotions about it, however Coach Mac made a great point when he said he prefers Texas to follow CU to the Pac is for for CU to have ties to two of the best states in the coutnry for recruiting, Texas and California. I really don't think Texas will be able to dictate things in the pac, they will try, but they don't have the power to in this conference.

Because it makes the pac-10 a 'have' and not a 'have not'

Perzactly. There's a big difference between "UT", and "UT and it's lackeys". It's the "worthless lackeys" that I'm not so interested in. (although if we could manage to replace UT with OU, I'd dig that.)

Gotcha, I agree, although I was thinking about something. Remember how big NU/OU used to be and it was the best rivalry in all of sports and how dare CU claim NU a rival when they are rivals with OU. Well how funny if CU and OU continue to have a relationship with out NU.

Go ahead NU wants nothing to do with OU anymore. OU is embarassing themselves the way they are following Texas around in UT's shadow trying to not be seen. They are letting UT call all the shots. Pretty sad.

wellllll you must be getting your information from other boards, cause round here, the less texass the better. Or maybe you are just getting your "info" from huskerpedia?

I think you just nailed it.

Honestly, I can't think of any CU fans that are excited about the idea of having UT along with the three other schools. I'm not even that thrilled about UT, but I understand it.

That answer is as good as any. Plus the assless chap.

Skid,

You just made me like Texas a little bit. That's hott. I mean, damn, 2 of those girls are even giving the universal sign for "the shocker".

Sitting in the north endzone of DRM stadium does have some distractions.
