OU and A&M to SEC West?

I think if OU is out, Tech and OSU might be done as well... at least, that's where I sit on the issue.

I would LOVE for Pac 10 to stop at 12 just as I would LOVE for CU to get a piece of UT solo, every year.

lol. i just posted an espn article on this, too!

would ou and, say okie state, go to the sec without ut?

I think OU is good by itself in the SEC. I don't know why they care to sit under the wing of UT. Stupid IMO.

I think if a&m is to ever forge their own way, they need to get out from under UT's shadow and do something by themselves.

I am a little confused as to why OU wants to sit under the Texas wing as well. They can definitely hold their own. I am very well aware of the tradition between the two schools growing up there, but I'm a bit perturbed as to why OU would want Texas to dictate their future.

As an OU hater, I would actually prefer them in the Pac over Texas (Big 8 and all that), but I see them as a better SEC fit. JMO

It's gonna be mighty hard to hold the Red River Shootout each year if OU and UT split conferences. I guess anything could happen, but if OU and UT split I'd be shocked.

I know there is no way UT goes to the SEC, but I'm starting to think that we are going to see 2 Big 12 schools defecting to the SEC when this is all said and done(even Mizzou possibly being the 2nd) and that KU and Utah get the extra invites. Of course this would be almost too perfect in my world!

Watching the college baseball game on ESPN... the crawl announced that OU is meeting w/ the PAC-10 tomorrow. Regents meet on Wednesday.

My preference would be the PAC-10 add UT, OU and UU and make a 14 team conference. That gives just enough of the old B12/8, Texas recruiting and and Texas $.

They did it for years and years before the B12 formed.

right. i was reading another board where Nebraska fan was getting all high and mighty about how OU would refuse to play them OOC (since Bo has a 16 inch penis or something)....yet, the Sooners played Nu in conference and UT OOC for a million years.

you are thinking like it is 1980. The rules have changed. Schools are looking to see what best fits their interests. It would have been unthinkable that Nebraska would not be in the same conference as Oklahoma. That game was THE game in college football for a long time.

IN a few days, College football will look totally different.... and that is all because of TV and money.

Yeah. Then we could schedule three a year in the west instead of two, unless they go to an 8 game conference schedule. I think the more games we are guarnteed on the west coast, the better our recruiting will be there.
