Wisconsin wants a piece of the nubs

I guess they want nubs as end of season rival. They have already contacted the Big 10 offices to try and set it up. per ESPN

My sister-in-law lives in madison, so we occasionally spend thanksgiving there. If that were to happen again, I would gladly head to Camp Randall to launch pissbombs at the nubs for old times sake

I thought Wisconsin and Minnesota was the big rivalry?

You've got to figure that Nebraska vs Iowa is going to be the rivalry matchup. That makes so much sense that when I think about it I have to wonder why they weren't playing each other all along.

This seems like a ploy for Wisky to pull itself up to the upper echelon of the Big Ten in football, by associating with NU in the last game of the year.

But frankly, Iowa is more deserving of a seat at the head table than Wisky. Not only has Iowa been stronger over the past 10 years, but they are without a natural rival under the current format.

Wisky can go back to the kid's table with their Minnesota game.

with all due respect urbana, illinois is most certainly at the kids table in the big10 football picture.

Nebraska: "Look at us, more inferior programs without our tradition trying to manufacture a rivalry. Sigh."

Thinking through the division alignments for the Big Undefined Variable, Wiscy/UNL struck me as a possible rivalry that might actually develop over time. Maybe because of all the ****ing red and the spandex busting fan bases, but it seems like a matchup that could end up being big for both programs.

In true Big Ten tradition, the corn and the cheeseheads will need a trophy to compete for. Something like the Little Arterial Obstruction, the Big Brown Bowl (use your imagination) or the like. Maybe they could copy Floyd of Rosedale, only instead of a statue of a pig, they'd just use a real roast hog with an apple shoved in its mouth. Of course, it would never make it off the field intact....

Each year they can battle for the Golden Corn Cob trophy

Cheese > Corn
Madison > Lincoln

But also, Fusker/Hawkeye > Fusker/Badger. It'll go down like that.

You know, many folks in Champaign were sad that UI passed up an alum in Brewster for Zook. But alas, it looks like they both blow hard ones...

brewster is hawk, had one great recruiting class but has proved he knows nothing about coaching the game.
