Good feelings over, I'm back to Hawk bashing

I am so happy that we have moved conferences, but the good feelings are starting to wear off. I am getting sick of reading all of the articles from Big XII county, PAC 10 country, and nationally that are talking about how we bring nothing to the ****ing table.

Every single article is about how bad our football team is. First, **** you to you short sited people that cant seem to look back further then 4 years. Most PAC 10 fans seem to be pretty welcoming, but there are quite a few that think we are the worst addition they could have made. Listen ****sticks, we are now the second winning-est all time team in the PAC 10-12-whatever. We may suck now, but that does not mean that we are just going to just sit here and suck.

That brings me to the second point. Thanks Hawk for getting us to this point. You took this program that was "burned to the ground" and pissed on the ashes.

Thats it, nothing new or inciteful, but I have been cringing reading these articles. There was one written by the Arizona Wildcats beat writer taking shots at us about football. Really, the wildcats are going to take shots? Make it end.

I'm not ready to let go of the great feeling of the Pac-10 just yet. I believe CU fans will be ready to get back to talking about CU football next week.

I still couldnt be more happy about this. I know how the Texas machine works too well, I havent even been reading the above said articles but knew they would come. Im just glad the University did what was right for CU. Everybody staying in the Big 12 is trusting Texas to be there for them. Hate to break it to them that Texas looks out for themselves only and you definitely cant trust them. If the Pac people wouldve let them have their way, they wouldnt even be in the Big 12 anymore. It's hilarious that they are said to be heroes for saving the conference. Anybody with a brain knows that isnt what happened. As far as Hawk, win or his pink slip is waiting.

Save your strength, there's still a long time before football season starts.

Good point, but I got twins that are going to be born in a month, so I will probably miss out on a lot of my Allbuffs hate time. I was just trying to get a shot in early...

...breathing deeply...

if i'm CU, i hit with a going to the Pac PR blast right away. could give you a merch and ticket boost. do the same thing in early August. gotta capitalize on the good feeling since there hasn't been much around the program for a while.

Well they do have a point if you look at the last 10 years, only two good seasons in there, with two OK seasons. Tradition and all-time records get thrown out the window when you haven't had a wining season in four years.

I am curious on the future of CU football though. Will be interesting how recruiting goes in the next two-three years. Hawkins wins more than 7 games this year does he stay? Interesting times for a CU fan!

How many years was it that we lost to Drake before we started competing and winning titles? Alabama lost to Louisiana-Monroe at Tuscaloosa in 2007 and they just won a national title. Piss on those that assume we cannot get back. Look at Nebraska just a few years ago, getting rung for 70 and 63 and yet they think they can win the Big 12 this year. We get the right coach and a new enthusiasm we can go places.

Thus my signature line. I don't know when we'll be back, but we'll be back. Or the Mayan Calendar will end as we pass through the galactic arm of the Milky Way and we'll all die. But I feel confident we'll be back.

While it pains me to say this, it would be pretty funny if Nebraska did win the Big 12 in the last year they are in it.

if so, their sanctimonious horsepoop would be through the roof. i read another board with posters from all over the XII and other conferences and Nu fan can hardly stay continent with all the lectures they are giving everyone else about how great they are and what a bad dude Osborne is. it is truly amazing and "sanctimonious" is the only word i can think of to describe it (other than the samo samo BS from the huskers).

If we win the North and bitchsmack UT in the CC game, I would...well, I don't know what I would do. Thankfully, I don't need to worry about this because it has about a .01% chance of happening.

this is already occurring, my guess is they'll wait for the organic lift to peter out and then try to manufacture a second one.

Making lemonade out of this.

CU can now attract an entirely different pool of coaching applicants.

Let's go back to November 2009 and pretend for a moment CU fired Dan Hawkins. Let's pretend they replaced him with a coach who was not top tier due to the salary and budget issues. For sake of arguement, what if someone like Dave Logan was the new coach, and was sitting on a brand spanking new 5-year deal....Frightening.

Instead, CU simply kept their powder dry by prolonging the search until after all this allignmnent business is done. Coaches who wouldn't have even thought about coming to Boulder a month ago are suddenly wondering whether to shepherd in CU's new era in the 12Pac

At this point, CU is on the record as backing Dan Hawkins to start the 2010 season. I can't see Coach Hawkins being let go before the opening game.

Now if CSU humiliates CU again, then he shouldn't leave the Invesco lockerroom with his job. The dynamic is simple. The more he wins, the longer he stays. But one more Toledo game and he's GONE!

Between now and Coach Hawkin's next disgraceful performance, Mike Bohn has sufficient time to assess the talent pool and plan his next step.

Whoever is the replacement for Dan Hawkins better have some ties to SoCal and AZ.
