Paul richardson is a buff

The eligibility clock begins to run the day he starts attending classes.

So being admitted is one thing. Starting school is something different entirely.

if true, let's go get that kid who got his scholly yanked by Lester at LSU.....we are CFB's 2nd chance heaven.

Wow! Two late additions to a ho hum recruiting class and I'm drinking the kool-aid.

Welcome Paul. I'll make sure my wife doesn't bring her purse to games so you are not tempted.

Just kidding. I am glad you are on board.

Talented player, but I don't know how I feel accepting players that Neuheisel dismissed following an arrest. Feels dirty.

He wasn't dismissed from the team. The Weasel got himself in a bind by over-signing this class and tried to fix the problem and puff up his own image at the same time by asking the 3 kids involved to grayshirt. They all decided to go elsewhere instead.

I get being worried about someone who committed a crime. He'll be on a short leash, for sure. But please don't confuse the issue and think that it means The Weasel has found some class, integrity or honor.

I hope things work out and he can keep his nose clean, otherwise someone has some explaining to do if he doesn't.

I'd never expect that of him.

That is exactly right. It's not clear which of the three stole the purse and which just ran when confronted. At any rate, it's a mistake. Not sure there'll be charges of the misdemeanor nature brought or if he's been cleared. Either way, a change in scenery is good medicine.

Will be interested to see if he can contribute early or will redshirt.

I think this is fantastic. Our WR talent just went from bad to very good in the span of two weeks with the additions of Richardson and Patterson. Add Scotty, Celestine, and Clemons, and we have some real weapons. Simmons and Darden add some needed depth to the position, too. What was a weakness is now a strength. This is good.

Also, this talk about redshirting or grayshirting him is ridiculous. We need all the talent we can possibly get on the field. Our QBs need to have a lot of targets. There's no reason to redshirt the kid. None. Get him in pads and on the field ASAFP.

Why? Is he better than the receivers we've got?

You can only have so many WRs on the field at one time. If you waste a freshman year to get him snaps in a couple games like Simmons last year, just redshirt him. This move is more important for after next season than it is for 2010. Our underclassmen depth is not very good.

Good question. He was highly recruited, and right now, that's good enough for me. Then again, Simas was supposed to be all that and a bag of chips and he turned out to be all that and a six pack, so who knows?

No need for him to take any snaps. We lose mcknight, patterson, simmons after this year. That leaves clemons, celestine and they will be gone after 2011. Depth at wr isn't as great after this season.
