CU/CSU fans

Someone at work is a fan of both, he is sitting in the CSU section wearing a CSU shirt and CU hat. He said he always hates this game because he doesn't like either team losing. Do you know anybody like this?

not one person. I know plenty that are fans of the other team after this game... not during... I guess if you had kids that played for both... but I dont know one person like that

He doesn't have kids, just a Colorado sports fan. I found it interesting.

Kind of.

There's a guy at my work that's been a pretty solid CU fan, with CSU as a back-up due to his kids going there. This year, he's so fed up about CU keeping Hawkins that he's just a flat out CSU guy now. He even gave up his CU tickets.

Not quite what you were asking, but in the same ballpark.

i could see some people doing that, just because they like the sport like you said.. but I find myself siding with one team.. even on wed night espn games with 2 no names.. I tend to side with 1 team.

I do. I knew several girls in college that were dating or had brothers that went to one institution or the other but attended the rival school. This lead to several examples of a girl in a CSU/CU shirt with a CU/CSU hat. Never seen a guy do it though. Sounds kinda weak to me. Would you ever wear a Raiders shirt and Broncos hat to a Broncos-Raiders game? No. And if you did, you'd look like a complete fool.

My parents & In-laws both act this way for the game since they both had kids that attended each school....Funniest part is how my dad will always act like the impartial fan so as to not piss my brother off, but it's clear as a Colorado Sky that the black & gold have always & will always be #1...my in-laws are the opposite

Really think it's almost impossible to have complete neutral feelings 1 way vs. the other

i have a grad school buddy who went to CSU, played lacrosse there....but came to Big School for his grad education. he was a key part of our grad school ticket group and we went to all the games at Folsom in our 5 year run in 117 during the Barnett era. he pulled for CU...and was genuine about it and grew up in Denver....but i think for CSU he kinda of liked to see the Lambs win maybe just a wee bit more. but, he said he didn't care either way.

I can see this but only if they're a general fan of the sport and just want the local teams to do well. But the implication here is that he's not a hard-core fan of either team, because if he was then this would not be acceptable.
