Helmets flying off

Has anyone else noticed that helmets tend to fly off during games a lot more than they used to? I can remember a few scattered instances over the last 25 years of watching CFB but it seems that in the last year or two it happens a lot more often.

Any ideas?

Players have smaller heads?

I just can't wait till when we are watching a play some day:

Announcer: "oh another helmet just came off...Oh my god! The head is still in it!"

Maybe helmets are being designed to take more of the shock from impact without transferring the force to the melon. So, maybe they don't fit as tight, or something, as they used to? Hell, I don't know. I think you are just making **** up.

The guys with the big hair are definitely more prone to helmet pop.

Marketing strategy. Get your face out there, get noticed, ???, profit.

It's their way of taking their helmets off on the field without drawing the 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
