Pac 10 Meetings Start Tomorrow and CU May Be Heading.....

He said the divisions should be split to assure competitive balance (keep Colorado and WSU apart) and “we have a system that will allow us to market and promote our football system in a way that’s logical and easy to follow for our fans.”

ouch.

CU in a division with UU, UA, ASU, USC & UCLA would be the best possible outcome for us.

I know... that stood out to me, too. What the **** is that supposed to mean?

If we can get the right coach, hell just a decent coach, I really think the buffs can be real succesful in the Pac-12

Glad we're seen as being as competitive as Wazzu. Why couldn't they have used keeping, say, USC and Oregon apart rather than lumping us in with Wazzu as a bottom feeder?

Thanks, Hawk, you ****ing moron.

Funny thing is we are thought of as a Big 12 bottom feeder and will be a Pac bottom feeder. I don't know the last time we finished last in a conference. Maybe during the Fairbanks years, although KSU and ISU sucked balls then.

Guys, let's not miss the forest for the trees. One dumb reporter has a dumb comment. So what. Hopefully CU gets put into the Pac-12 South -- this would be a massive, massive win for Mike Bohn and really sets up CU well long-term with the tie to recruiting Southern California.

Winning will stop the bottom feeder comments. As for the conference alignment, being in the South would be monumental for the Buffs. Just huge!

Maybe Bohn is using the misfortunes of CU the last few years to support his arguement for getting into the PAC12 South. Sweet move if so. Talk about turning a lump of coal ionto a Diamond!

You have to figure that the only CU game this Oregon dooshebag has bothered to pay any attention at all to is the Cal game. I can't blame him for the impression that game left him with.

But if you look at the bottom of the article he also ranks USC as the #9 team in the Pac-10, ahead of only Wazzu. Looks to me like this guy enjoys being a dick...

We have never finished last in the Big 12...ever. Of course being 3-1 with a win over an upper tier SEC team is comparable to Wazzu. But hey, if that is the argument that keeps Colorado in the south division, fine by me. I love the short memories of all of these college football pundits. Colorado is going to be very good in the 12 Pac.

And almost every single Pac 10 school with the exception of maybe Oregon has been in Colorado's current shoes within the last 10 years.

The Wazzou comparison isn't all that bad if you ignore history and tradition (as any Oregon writer would be wise to do). WSU went to a couple Rose Bowls and had a number of really good seasons at the beginning of the past 15-20 year period. They've had financial difficulties and have also had trouble finding the right coach ever since Price left. It's similar to the CU story...

That is, if you ignore the fact that we're a top 20 program in all-time wins and total all-americans while also being one of the few programs with both a Heisman winner and a National Championship. But if you're an Oregon guy, it's probably best to ignore those types of things.

The first title game will be held at a campus site, it says here. Scott called that “the NFL option,” with the game at the home of the team with the better record. If needed, the Pac-10 could use BCS rankings to decide location.
:thumbsup::goldcup::dance::rock:

Edit: I know its just opinion, but several articles agree that is most likely.

Ok, so let's hope it starts snowing early next year 'cause I want to make a ski trip out of the 12 pac title game.

i guess we can also determine that Denver wouldn't ever host the Pac Champ game. I mean, I get why....but the article mentions San Diego and Phoenix as having "NFL stadiums" in the context of "neutral site". Not sure how Phoenix is "neutral"....if either ASU or U of A are potentially involved. and San Diego is gonna have a strong UCLA/USC lean. Sort of like saying playing OU in Dallas is neutral. or NU at Camerohead in KC. or Kansas or Missouri in hoops at the old Kemper Arena.

We arent even Wazzu bad, hawk has won 50% more games during his 4 years than Wazzu coaches have during that time.

Okay maybe not quite as bad as them, but we've been pretty crappy. Certainly over the long haul we're not on par with the Cougs, but the last few years I'd say we're close enough.

I'd prefer them to compare us to Udub. Some success early in the decade followed by many bad years. Even at that, we've won more than the Huskies have, right? RIGHT?!

Either way if by some dumb luck they put us in the Pac 12 south just for this absurd reason, as if we will never be good again, we win in the long run.

The BUFF NATION hereby declares the Hackins Era as the BottomFeeder Era, they are one and the same.

How so f-in nice for us. What a homerun you got there Bohn. You fixing it by getting us in the PAC-12, now finish the job by fixing that huge mistake and fire that asshat, POS, wannabe idot who calls himself a coach.

don't sweat how we are currently perceived. historically-speaking we have freakin' pwnd the vast majority of the programs in the p10. let them believe that our current state of miserable play is the norm. we are a sleeping giant and being in the p10 is going to wake the giant. we'll be in the top 3 in the league within 5 years. bank on it. and go ahead and remind me in 5 years if i am wrong. i am sure about this. CU is going to be a force. it is going to take a few years to recover from our current ass-clownery staff, but the pieces will fall into place. and, we are going to get a far bigger name coach than we could otherwise hope for, due in large part to this move to the p10.

have no fear. we are going to do very, very well over the long term. in 25 years, when they look back over the long term, the big 3 in the conference will be usc, oregon, and us!

Actually, UW has been much worse off than us. They haven't been to a bowl game since '02. Ouch. We've gone to 4 bowls since '02, and won 3 division titles.

I'd prefer them to compare us to Udub. Some success early in the decade followed by many bad years. Even at that, we've won more than the Huskies have, right? RIGHT?!

Wazzou really gets a bum rap. In addition to Rose Bowls in '97 and '03, they produced Bledsoe and Leaf, two of the better QB's in the past 20 years. They have been very streaky.
