What the **** Rugged?

I'm forever a Buff. I became a Gamecocks fan a month ago when we were out at Cal. This was a big win and I want to celebrate.

Rugged is both a buff and a ****. There's a lot of that around these parts.

So what you are saying is that you took a vacation to San Francisco and became a fan of the cocks? NTTAWWT.

Jokes aside, what made you a fan? I thought the biggest thing that happened was the lesbian bartenders?

Well, I did lose track of rugged for a few hours there, so perhaps something happened...

Lesbian bartenders need fans of cocks to you know....

If by "lose track" you mean you couldn't see him, he was probably behind you. It's starting to make sense.

Congrats on the endurance, BTW, Rugged.

The reasoning behind it (remember of course that I had been drunk for about 6 or 7 hours at this point) began after we got back to the bar after we left the CU game. There were a lot of good college football games on that weekend and on a TV near us USC was playing Georgia. I said I wanted to beat Georgia this year, so I might as well cheer for USC so I can enjoy that. I never looked back.

I did a game weekend in Columbia SC once. It was a good time. Those fans really get into it--especially when you consider it's a program that's typically good, but seldom great. BIG game day atmosphere.

Yeah I'm going to try to make it to a game out there next year. I really do like them and like to watch and cheer for them. This isn't a joke.

and what is your connection?

I do not understand how someone can become a fan unless they are from the region or have a friend/ family member play for them.....

I explained why I decided to become a fan. I was out in Berkeley and pissed at the Buffs and thought we wouldn't be able to beat anyone this season. SC was playing Georgia at the time and I said that I wanted to beat Georgia this year so I am going to cheer for SC. Well they won and I decided I liked watching them play and have watched two of the three games since that weekend. The tvs out here weren't showing the game against Furman, unfortunately.

You know that Spurrier is the coach, right? And that a lot of the fans are from South Carolina?

I just want to make sure you're making an informed decision.

Good music in that town, at least.

Since when are we not allowed to fan other schools? It's not like our school is helping deter this trend. In fact they are quite encouraging it by force feeding us another year of it.

Good thing the Iraqi national football team wasn't on TV at the time :smile2:

I never said not allowed.... I just don't understand how someone can have an emotional investment in a team unless they grew up around it (went to college there) or have/ had a friend family member play....

Other than that, how does one get an emotional attachment to a team?

You should ask that to any asshole in Europe wearing NYY or Longhorn gear. When it comes to American sports, the dooshier the better is a general rule around these parts.

I see your point. But your not using the right terminology; He's a bandwagoner. :smile2:

I like Michigan because I lived there and I covered the games in the 90s. Lots of fun. Great school, town, and campus. And now the H8ers will h8...

Yeah, it's been a good year so far, but damn I wish our D could have done better against Auburn. I'm afraid we'll lose to someone we shouldn't later though. That's just how it works with our team.

I kind of know what you mean. I didn't expect to champion Marisa Miller until Wally said something about her turd cutter. After that, I was all in.

Rugged = Bandwagoner. Loving the cocks? Hmm...

I'll never become a fan of any other team in college football. God knows Hawkins is trying.

Would be a pretty money game if they played the Beavers.

I bandwagoned during week 2. I didn't leave them after they lost last week. Obviously, they aren't my team, but I do enjoy watching them and that is something I need. CU is hurting me. I will always love CU and have since I was born.
