Who would be our rival?

Now that the Pac 12 has decided on North South divisions, what team do you see becoming our biggest rival?

I'm thinking it could start with Slick Ricks Team, UCLA?:smile2:

BYU. Those guys really turned me off when Utah's offer was extended.

One will develop over time. Must let it happen naturally.

I don't know how long it will take. Everybody else in our division already has a rival except for Utah and Colorado. Hmmmmmmm, I wonder how this will develop.

**** those Utes with their fantastic snow and beautiful women! I know we've already been through this, but it's kind of hard to hate those guys.

I hope Mac declares USC our rival from the get go.

Great. Then they can talk about how we're not their rival. And also how their rivalry with UCLA was based on mutual respect, and how each and every USC fan in the stadium would hug each and every UCLA fan after games, and how sometimes they would adopt each other's children. Boomer Sooner! Wait...what was I talking about, again?

We hate red because one of our current rivals wears red and is the main state university in a state that borders Colorado...Utah wears red and is the main state university in a state that borders Colorado...therefore, we hate Utah?

/that syllogism probably will not end up holding true but we'll see?

But here's the problem. We don't hate red, for red's sake. We hate red because of what/whom it represents. The red in Utah doesn't represent the same thing--in fact it represents quite the opposite.

I think its Utah. But I really like them as I see similarities between CU and UU. May be a mutual-respect rivalry, that is, unless they start wailing on us like Mizzou. Then all bet's are off.

So what exactly does Utah's red stand for... the flow from a Mormon virgin?

I have enough reasons to hate Utah already, as a state and populous - they are the early frontrunner. But if our new coach circles USC on the calendar, if cool with taking on the Trojans.

Well, I'm pretty sure it doesn't stand for flat, wind-swept prairie, self-proclaimed "classy" fans, depressing weather and meth labs. Did I mention the prairie?

There's very little doubt it'll be Utah, albeit a fabricated rivalry. It only makes sense because they're the closest school to us plus we'll end up playing them in our last game of the season, when everyone else is also playing their rival.

Agreed. And, don't forget, they have all of those interweb trolls who pose as Utah fans pretending to hate BYU, and making snotty comments towards CU so that CU fans will hate Utah, only it's really BYU fans all the while ...... devious.

Most likely Utah. It may take some time, but it's the natural fit.

I guess it'll be Utah, although I don't think many of us are feeling much hatred towards the Utes at the moment. UCLA is a strong candidate for the Rick factor. We'll have our share of competitive games with Arizona (and Washington when we play them)

Utah, no question.

Proximity and the fact that everyone already has natural/organic rivals. It will take some kind of "event" to start one up with another team.

Let's just beat everybody every year and let them worry about trying to make us their rivals. It will be much easier that way.

I think we're going to find a way to just all get along...

Kind of like in the NFL, where pretty soon tackling will be illegal and subject to suspensions. National Flag-football League, anyone?

First, we can unburden ourselves by pawning off CSU to BYU..... and Utah would happily do the same.... maybe they both deserve each other..... then we start slinging piss bombs at any Utah license plate that enters Colorado from the west..... we might wanna lay some dog **** in Moab, or fill the Great Salt Lake with Buffalo Chips.....

That'll get the rivalry goin'

Nobody will ever replace the fuskers douchebaggery.

...But if I had to choose, I'd say Oregon. ****bag fans. **** you Phil Knight. I can't wait to see you guys **** up on national television.
