Anyone familliar with Columbus Ohio?

I am going to Columbus next year. Where is the best place to stay? Walking distance to the University or downtown? We are probably a middle budget.... not looking for bottom of the hotel rates....

similar type info from a CU grad school buddy who went to OSU as an undergrad...sent me this a month or so ago. Fairfield Inn w/in walking distance sounds doable.

"You will be coming to C BUS when CU comes to town to get their butt ****ing won't you? I would advise your peeps to make hotel reservations as early as possible...there is a Fairfield Inn on Olentangy River Road that is walkable...or they could spend big coin and get a room at the Blackwell..."

'The Blackwell' is a good choice if the price is something you can afford. My buddy says they jack up the prices on game weekends. Tripadvisor rates it the #5 best hotel in Columbus.

He also wanted me to warn CU fans that Ohio St fans are assholes who aren't very kind to visitors. He's embarassed by them and says he's witnessed many nasty fights & such and this isn't just against Michigan fans.

The Buffs will surprise everyone next year in 2011 just like we did 40 years before in 1971.
I would love to get there. I have to find a way to get tickets.

****ing pussies

I'm going as well. An old buddy is a season ticket holder, 35 yardline, 9th row. I hope we're still on speaking terms when I leave.

A good buddy of mine went to Northwestern and OSU fans are pretty much regarded as the biggest cocksuckers in the universe by the rest of the Big 10.

judging by all of my friends that are BIg 10 grads.... OSU certainly gave diplomas to the dumbest group of people I am friendly with!

Blackwell is booked that weekend by the CU football team and other dignitaries.....
