Bohn has no balls. And according to Woelk, it would be a disservice to the seniors on this team to fire Hawk now.

At the very least he could come out and make a statement that these kind of performances are unacceptable. This "protect the players" rhetoric is really just that: rhetoric. It is an excuse of convenience. There is no sincerity of any kind associated with it. Every loss like this is making this program more and more of a joke. Minnesota manned up and fired their coach. They are, historically, a significantly less prestigious program than ours. By not doing anything, we are saying that we don't care.
Hawkins last this game today because he was padding his son stats. He lost this game because he was trying to rub it in the fanbase's collective face. He does not care about this school or this program in the slightest. He is, in short, a hack. Hawkins has no football knowledge of any substance. He is not good at pr. He is not good at developing players or even recruiting them.
Firing Hawkins now sends a message that this university cares not only about football, but its overall reputation. Fair or not, outside of the Ivy Leagues and Ivy-equivalents, athletics play perhaps the largest role in how your school is received. CU's football team is THE most visible arm of our university. Neglecting it is damaging the perception of the entire school.
Beyond that, if we don't make a big splash with our next coaching hire, our program is looking at probably another dark decade to follow the one we just had, IMO. Another bad hire and we are done for the forseeable future. Hawkins has been entirely too long. Five years of utter failure, the last three of which have been an absolute embarrassment, is simply too long.

Someone should ask Bohn, what on Earth would the players do without their coach's horrible play calling and habit of putting them in positions to fail?
I mean, besides win a game on the road when you're up 45-17 in the 4th qtr.
Yeah, you have a 28 point lead, how about running the football with a back that has given you 170 yds?
This team with average coaching would be 6-3 right now.
The program becomes more and more of a joke every week, if that's even possible anymore. And we mysteriously continue to hear nothing from Bohn, yet there's alot of candy-asses out there who seem to think that's what he should do, is say nothing. Well, continue to say nothing and the program continues to be a mockery.
He is too busy sending out rumors he is going to Kansas.
