Bohn: No decision on Hawkins, but decision could be coming

News Junkie
University of Colorado football coach Dan Hawkins has not been fired, but the school could make an announcement in regard to his future later this week, athletic director Mike Bohn confirmed Saturday night.

Come on, why is this being dragged out? If you put it out there that a decision may be made later this week (and everyone knows he has no future at CU), just get it done with. Way to avoid those pesky distractions.

The fact they've said anything makes me feel a little better. Sounds to me like Bohn is going through the bureaucratic red tape to **** can the biggest failure in the history of mankind.

Also, any arguments about keeping him because they are unsure how the staff or Cody will react is bull****. This season is over and after having our asses handed to us multiple times and now giving up 35 unanswered points to lose to a ****ty team, how can it get any worse? The staff will be coaching for their futures after Hawk is gone, and if Cody wants to quit, let him quit. Run wildcat with Speedy or Jefferson, or let Cefalo play QB. Or, burn Hirsch's redshirt, he gets three games of experience and can redshirt next year after having a chance to compete for the starting job. He'll have some game experience in that case.

**** this ****.

its purely a negotiations now.. Hawk will be given a buyout.

You ****ing kidding me? Worried how the asst coaches will respond?????? **** THEM! Worried cody might quit? **** YOU bohn, YOU'RE THE BIGGEST PUSSY AD around, more ****ing BS excuses. YOU are making CU a bigger joke by keeping dan around. Fire his ass, he's earned it. It's time to move forward, keeping hawk for 3 more games only makes it worse.

NO spine from anyone up at CU,Administration, AD, reporters NOBODY.

True on the red tape. It does mention he will probably meet with DiStephano tomorrow. They have to move pretty quickly to get everything lined up because we still do have some games to play this season. Waiting until Wednesday or Thursday is not going to work, an announcement needs to be made tomorrow or Monday.

Totally agree on the other stuff. Give me a ****ing break. So we are now worried about a team captain basically quitting on the season if his dad is fired? Nice leadership. Same with the "professionals" on the coaching staff that we apparently are afraid will stop coaching. Just wow.

Announcement needs to come tomorrow. The team practices on Monday, Tuesday, etc.

If he isn't ****canned tomorrow it isn't happening this week.

I love it, our AD worries about how the coaches son and the asst. coaches will respond if he's fired. Pure comedy...
