What is this Cody Hawkins crap???

Good let him quit, who cares, the season is wasted anyway!!!!

Why in the mother **** are we concerned about Cody's feelings?!?!?!?!????????

Can we substantiate this rumor before I react by saying, "ok, do it"? 'Cause historically I've really liked that young man, and I don't want to tip my hand about how I'd feel until I know for sure that it's his stance.

Let him quit. The kid wants to be a coach, but he is going to pull this? Great, let him. Then when any school calls to ask about his attitude, you can say 'Well, he quit when we fired his daddy... is that the type of guy you want coaching for you?'.

Jesus Christ guys. You're getting this all from the speculation by Ringo in the article? Just wow, you might want to be careful about throwing him under the bus before anything concrete is put out there.

LALALALALALALAL! I CAN"T HEAR YOU!

Ok - Fair enough. Just so mad.

It's a stupid ****ing concern, regardless of it's plausibility. You don't make your coaching decisions based upon how your ****ing ****ty QB might react.

This paragraph would imply that the Slade's initial post in this thread has some merit to it. And based on the paragraph below, I hope Bohn goes off to KU. I'd prefer to have an AD with a spine.

Bohn would not address specific factors that will play a part in the decision, but it's possible the school could be concerned how assistant coaches and senior quarterback Cody Hawkins respond if Dan Hawkins is fired. Cody Hawkins is the only healthy quarterback on the roster with any experience and if he opted not to complete his senior season because his dad was fired, the Buffs would be forced to ask true freshman Nick Hirschman to burn his redshirt.

**** the Hawkins family if he does that. His dad is a ****ing idiot, and looks like Cody is following his footsteps.

IF true, he might have to re-think that idea of eventually being a coach. It would also be a bull**** move from a player whom was voted captain by his teammates. I think the kid is a very bad QB, but I do not believe he would pull this move. Maybe I am wrong. But again, you might want to be careful about throwing him under the bus without more than speculation from Kyle Ringo.

BTW, the AD is officially a joke if this is what is hindering Hawkins from being fired right now. You cannot hold up an entire school because of one player.

If he quits he quits. It's certainly of no consequence.

Fire Dan now, so the next guy can get going with recruiting.

Seriously, can we assume this isn't true? While I agree it shouldn't be a consideration in doing what must be done, perhaps we shouldn't assume that Cody has indicated any such thing.

That's crazy talk. It is better to go ahead and assume it is completely true. Bash the kid!!!!!!!!!

Exactly my point and feelings as well. I'm pissed off right now more than I was last year on the night before Thanksgiving, and it has nothing to do with blowing a 28-point lead with 12 minutes left to a dog**** KU team.

Bohn, if you're gonna let a sub-par QB hold this program hostage for another month of hell then you should take this mickey mouse program to the WAC.

In all seriousness, maybe Bohn has a plan under the carpet like Mac is onboard, but he wants to get his own staff in place before taking over.

Or maybe there will be a firing later this week.

Hang in there buff fans, the nightmare is almost over!

This is an absolute comedy of errors at this point. There does not appear to be any leadership coming from anywhere. We lost a game literally for the sole reason that our HC wanted to pad the QB's stats, who, coincidentally, happens to be his son.

The Dan Hawkins era in CU football will be pointed to as a model case of the pitfalls of nepotism in arenas that have nothing to do with football, in all likelihood. I have never witnessed a bigger fail in my life. I really see no evidence of any kind to contradict the notion that this guy is nothing but a total, absolute fraud with the disposition of a spoiled child.

The lack of professionalism is what really irks the most, at this point. To lose a game at this level because you want to inflate your son's passing statistics has got to be a first in the history of college football. I have certainly never heard of it anywhere else.

would we really need to burn hirschman's redshirt if hawkins quits? i bet rodney stewart could be at least as effective as cody if we move him to qb for the rest of the year

especially a player that's not even any good. what if i join the team as a walk on? would that allow me to start making demands of the ahtletic department?

meh. all speculation now. i will sleep on it and see what happens tomorrow. no need to get wraped around the axel before anything is official.

Give him a break. It's his dad. He's emotional, if it's true.

Another reason why you should not coach your son at this level.
