Will Hawk Show up for Cody's Senior Day?

He couldn't even handle talking to two reporters on CU's payroll post KU. Can he handle what will no doubt happen on Senior day? Discuss.

I hope that Cody gets a standing ovation on Senior Day. He's gotten a lot of ****, much of it unfairly in my opinion. He did his best, and even though it wasn't good enough, I think his efforts are laudable.

Questions like these are why it was going to be damn hard to break away from the Hawks, whether it be today or at the end of the season. I could see anything happen with those two.

Pending his response tomorrow, I agree.

He should show up. That is a parent/son deal, and he should be allowed to go out with Cody, and without any fear of an 'incident'

Dude he's going to show up for his son.. The crowd should be respectful and give a nice ovation too.

Hawk failed and now he's gone. No need to hold grudges anymore.

horrible situation. I imagine the extended family will all come, sit together and cheer loudly and politely.

Misti has sat quietly in the stands through all this, never a bad word about anyone. Never shot anyone a mean look for yelling at her husband.
She deserves to cheer her boy's senior day, and I hope it's as pleasant as possible under circumstances.

He should show, I hope he shows, and I hope Cody gets the treatment he deserves for being a Senior at the University of Colorado. I am sure in hindsight this wasn't the best fit for him, but we all make our decisions and we have to live with them. I wish him and his father nothing but success moving forward, today is a new day in Colorado football and the past is now the past we cannot change that. I am excited that we will have a new coach and a new conference for next season. I am making my plans now for Stanford and wine country.

He definitely deserves to attend and cheer on Cody, as long as he can do so without a riot ensuing....a nice luxury box seat for him would be appropriate

After thinking about it, probably this would work best, and the Hawkins family minus Dan escorts Cody before the game. Like it or not, Dan's presence on the field for that ceremony upstages the moment which really should be only about the Seniors.

I would certainly expect Dan to be there for Cody.

Like Dan Hawkins or not, he is no longer CU's head coach. Like Cody Hawkins or not, he is still CU's starting QB. We can all acknowledge that Cody has physical limitations, but we should also acknowledge that he is out there competing and doing the best he can every day.

Like others have said, I hope that Cody gets a nice round of applause for his efforts. He has certainly endured a lot of crap over the past several years

Of course he will show up. Now he is on CU's payroll without any of the responsibilities and scrutiny he received for 5 years. He will show up, root for Cody (as he should), and have that mother****ing smug look on his face the whole time as he knows he fleeced this university for years!

i would hope that our fans would show the same respect for the hawkins family that they will for the rest of the seniors. i will be severely disappointed if the crowd doesn't cheer for cody and his family as strongly as anyone in that group of senior athletes who have put their sweat, heart, and soul into the program.

and hawkins' whole family deserves to be on the field for that moment.

He better show and he shouldnt get booed either. We got what we wanted. Let him have a day with his son.

That Would be very impressive if DH shows up and does not geed booed. Very classy. That's a statement, right there.

Yeah we should maybe start something up where he wont get booed. If we can do a Blue Out or whatever, why not give the guy one day? He's an assclown and I dont like him but one day wouldnt kill anyone to show some class.

Congratulations Buffs on getting rid of Dan!

As a Ute fan I have to say... we had plenty of boos ringing out during the ass-kicking we endured at our own house by TCU last week.

What should happen, and what will happen, are not always the same.

My bet is if Dan shows up... the Boos will rain down.

He will figure this into whatever he decides to do.

Maybe I'm wrong... but I doubt it.

He should be there waiting for Cody with Misti and Cody should get a standing O when he comes onto the field like all of the Seniors should. Each and everyone of the Seniors dedicated 4 or 5 years to the program and deserve this day, including Cody. We need to help them celebrate and realize he is and will be part of a special small fraternity of CU players past and present. It is over. Help the kid celebrate his time here and send him off appropriately.

It should happen, give the Hawkins family a proper send off. This is CU, we arent Nebraska.

The unfortunate reality is that Cody will probably be roundly booed on senior day, at least by the student section.

I agree, senior day is about Cody, not Dan. I hope fans will show Cody some respect , and not boo his dad. (Regardless of how much we dislike the job his father did.)

i agree...it depends on if he takes the high road or not. if not and he starts taking shots at everyone....that just shows he wasn't the stand-up kid we all thought he was. can't wait till the presser.
