In the wake of Monday night's news about Hawkins, speculation surfaced that Bohn might also be on his way out of Boulder to fill the Kansas job or as a ripple effect of the failings of the football program he oversees.

However, the Camera has confirmed that Bohn is expected to inform members of the football team about Hawkins' dismissal Tuesday and also is expected to lead the search for the next coach along with Chancellor Phil DiStefano and a search committee to be named.

Bohn has not been contacted by the University of Kansas about its vacant athletic director job either.

Three weeks ago at Pac-12 Conference meetings in San Francisco, DiStefano said he remained committed to opening talks next spring on a contract extension for Bohn, who was an integral part of negotiating the school's switch in conferences announced during the summer. Bohn began his sixth year as athletic director at CU in April.

Holy ****ing ****. Bohn is gonna be the one to offiically tell the team? Hawk isn't doing it? I don't see Bohn denying Hawk the right to tell the team and say goodbye if he wanted to. What a ****ing bitch coward. Douchenozzle! Can't face anything!

I think Dan knows how the team feels about him and Cody. Might not be the best environment as now the players don't have the muzzle on when it comes to Dan.

Keep Dan away from the mic. We dont need to have a Tommy West press conference like Memphis had last year.

I don't think Hawkins would be willing to address the media anyway. He has too much of an ego to face them and will go out under cover, kind of like Weis did.

Unless it´s a situation with like Mike Shanahan, I think the employer shouldn´t give the fired employee the stage to tell his side of the story.

True, definitely a good move by CU if they're the ones dictating that he's not going to address the media.

Glad Bohn is staying. He might have ****ed up on some hires but he has done a lot of good for this university.

The reports I have seen say they want to have the new coach named by December 1 -- which is the first date coaches can do in-home visits. That is pretty fast, as today is already November 9.

Barnett was fired December 4th, Hawkins was introduced on the December 16th.

Well I'm sure Mike Bohn will make a "home run" hire.

****ing joke this clown is sticking around.
