I apologize about my harsh words yesterday. Emotions were running high for both him and me. While I haven't always agreed with the words he has had for the fans, he has given this university a lot.

I hope he gets the passing record.

What did you say about Cody?

He is doing a great job with his part of the presser. Cannot be anything but impressed with him. Great kid

Classy move Leash. He just took the mic in the presser and he is standing there like a man.

We better cheer this kid on for his remaining games or we are part of the problem.

questioned his loyalty to CU after pops is gone and said how much he has trashed the fans.

You are fair to raise those suspicions about Cody.

Although he is our QB, he also will defend his father when he is being attacked by the media/fans. No harm, No foul I guess. I hope he plays his all for the remaining games left.

Absolutely. If I hear any ****ing booing on Saturday, I might go ballistic on whoever does it.

Cody sounds good in the PC. I hope he can win some games to finish out his career, as well as for the other seniors. Props.

Cody is and always has been a class act and true Buffalo...I hope he gets a lot of support over his last few games (especially Senior Day) and I hope he has lots of success in the future coaching, maybe even coaching for the buffs one day

He did an outstanding job up there today. His answers were well-worded, frank, enlightening and entertaining. He did very well, especially considering the unique situation he's in. Bravo Cody! Now go win us a few games, get that passing mark and fly off into the sunset. You deserve to go out on a high note.

I actually grew in my admiration of Cody after that. I will never think he is skilled enough to have been a D1 quarterback, but he seems to be a better leader than I thought him to be and a classy kid.

I can't say how impressed I was with Cody at the PC. I liked his attitude, his demeanor, his answers - pretty much impressed me all the way around. I don't think any of us can truly appreciate or understand what he has had to go through the past couple of days, much less the last 5 years. I really hope that the fans give him the ovation he deserves these last 2 home games.

Anyone who boos the Hawkins family on Senior Day needs to be escorted out of Folsom Field and beaten up.

WE ARE NOT HUSKER FANS WHO BOOED AN INJURIED TEXAS PLAYER ON THE TURF OR THREATENED THE DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR'S LIFE OVER THE PHONE. WE ARE BETTER THAN HUSKER FANS!

Cody did a good job...said all the right things. But he was still half of a problem. That doesn't mean anyone should boo him or rag on him. But he got a lot out of his time at CU and I don't feel bad for what he's gone through by playing for his Dad...he said himself he understands the pitfalls of coaching.

When push comes to shove, your father should mean more to you than your alma mater. That's why this was a tricky situation for both Hawk and Hawk Jr.

I can't believe that some people still stay this ****. He was a freaking 4-star recruit who attended the prestigious Elite 11 camp. Tell me, how many QB's have we landed with his prep credentials?

He threw for 3,500+ yards as a freshman (!). He will likely leave here with numerous passing records.

Stuff went downhill, but I blame the system more than any of its players. Conversely, in the Boise system, this kid might have done wonders.

And what is his record at CU? The guy was great in HS, but this isn't HS! Are you Logan pumper too?

Ringo is dick for suggesting he would quit. Asshat

Ringo gives us internet scum a bad name. A total F****** douche bag.

Kyle should be forced to wear Codys jock over his head for a month.

He is "The Daily Disappointments" worst reporter. Ok Im over it now.

No he wasn't, and I think I've seen you corrected on this topic before. Not that it matters now. He's the best QB available for the next 3 games.

When the whole program is in ****piles, the QB (or any one player) doesn't get the blame.

Are you also going to downgrade Scotty's WR accomplishments because they happened to come under Dan Hawkins?

Everyone should be giving him a standing ovation on senior day. Even if you don't like him, cheer him for what he has done or cheer him because its the last home game he will play as a buff.

Either way you should be happy

Well now that you mention it... How many of the other players on the record books got to play all 4 years? Back then you got to play in your Junior and Senior seasons because the talent was pretty thick. Dan came in here and boom we start more freshman than any other school in the country and it has been like that for his whole time here.

Would love to see Scotty on the field with 4-5 NFL draft picks surrounding him. That being said, I think Scotty could be drafted himself, and am sure he will be invited to a camp somewhere.

These next two home games are finally all about the players.

It's about time the seniors and all the players are at the center of attention.

Let's hope they have fun and get to play with some emotion.
