Dan Hawkins WON'T be taking questions today -

That's probably best. At this point and time there is nothing he can say to make things better. The deed is done, time to move on.

Has he ever REALLY taken questions??

Yeah, You know, he just kind of got in there during media time and swung the sledgehammer at the concrete. When you have questions to answer that's sort of what the whole deal can be about. Being a good father, a good quesiton answerer, being about the whole interview when life isn't going to pomise you anything. So that's the media deal that he was trying to create.

Who cares. Dan Hawkins isn't our coach anymore. In fact I could care less what Cabral says either. The whole staff is filled with morons. Can't wait until we get a new coach and new staff in place.

Yup, makes sense. I would be scared ****less to put him in front of a microphone after his recent behavior and the crazyness that was last years press conference when he read letters to him saying he was awesome.

Easy tiger, Cabral has been a solid LB coach and probably should have been made DC during D II's tenure. He is the one coach I am sure I hope stays.

Hawkins was extremely classy. Even you haters need to give him credit for that. :smile2:

Hawkins and classy NEVER go together...he should have been CLASSY three years ago and stepped down from the position knowing he was in way over his head...good riddance you pseudo-philosopher zen master conn man. The guy never owned up to anything and didnt truly practice what he preached...HAWKINS...CLASSY...no way

I missed the news conference but I understand he didn't take responsibility for creating this mess, just apologized for this mess not winning games. That doesn't work for me. Not sure I could sit through a replay - my life is already better w/o the dude.

I thought Bohn was very good and very candid during the press conference. He certainly took responsibility for the failures of his hires, contrary to what some of the other boards might say. He said that he was ultimately responsible for the athletic department. He admitted that he had made some poor hires. He said, correctly, that when he was hired, Hawkins was a very desired and respected candidate - and he turned out to be a "dry well."

I thought Bohn did a very nice job at today's press conference.

I have to say...with all the Cabral love, I expected more from him. Yeah, he loves the Buffs, etc., etc., he's there for the kids, etc., etc., but I don't think he's HC material. He's a good interim guy.

He bleeds black and gold. But does not have the firey personality that I think you would want for a head coach. Unless he was trying to be subdued.

I don't know if he has it in him, either, but I don't know if you want an interim HC coming in guns ablazing, either. I would have liked for him to say that his goal was to win these next three games, but otherwise I thought he did perfectly. Rah rah bull**** today would have sounded pretty hollow.
