some might find ths interesting....about the athletic commitee that was talked about

"From my perspective ... athletics has taken a backseat to some of the other priorities at the university," Geddes said. "It's time to bring athletics back up to the priority it deserves."

Geddes told an anecdote about taking his son, then 7, to a University of Texas home game, where the boy asked if they were at a professional contest. He said he wants to see Boulder reach for that level. "I don't understand the resistance," he said.

Go Geddes!

Yeah...to me this is a good sign that at least some of the regents are finally getting the message that they need to care about athletics. The comments in the paper today from Benson were also encouraging.

It is easy to talk about it but until we see action, nothing has changed.

Did I hear today that they are making 3 of the 6 multi year contracts available to the football team? I assume in the past that only one was for FB? If so, that would mean that the HC and two OCs could get multi year contracts now? That would be good if true.

Yes you did. That's the plan.

When the AD's budget multiplies from what it is now, then you'll know they changed course. Until then, it may be business as usual. We'll see. Ooops!

Imagine if we had talked EG Gee back into the fold, instead of Ohio State, when he was miserable at Vandy. He knew how important the football program was to the University.
