Rumor

I've heard a rumor that CU is currently in negotiations with a coach "no one is even talking about." Just putting it out there -- my source isn't a first-hand source, but a friend of a friend. At this point, so long as it isn't Chucky Fairbanks, it will be an improvement.

I can see the press conference already:

"It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to.....GAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH......win......GAAAAHHHHHH.....that makes the difference....GAHHHHHHH....."

Unless you have a name....

Sorry, I've got nothing. Just thought people would be interested to know that a fairly prominent friend of a friend told me that people aren't actually talking about the guy that will in all likelihood end up with the job. That's it.

Billy Bob Thornton?

I'd prefer Kyle Chandler though.

Clear eyes full hearts....

HMMM, some names we haven't heard mentioned prominently.

Dorrell

Mason

Price

Ludwig

Harbaugh's OC (forget his name)

Ore. St.'s DC (Forget his name too)

all of these guys fit the mold of having BCS experience, whihc, I believe is part of the search criteria.

GPatterson isn't coming to CU...I am pretty sure about that based on some things I know from contacts down in Ft. Worth....

Coordinator of a top BCS team with experience in the Pac 12 footprint: Gotta be Mark Helfrich.

Seriously, I would not doubt, in the least, that there is a or even several "surprise" candidates interested in this job. The HC job at CU is still very appealing.
