Anybody watching Boise and Idaho?

Live from the Kibbie Dome - capacity 16,000 - looks like a basketball gym. Listening to the announcers raving on about Boise's stats on the year. Gee, look at the competition - if this isn't small potatoes - what is? I really hope they get sent to one of the big BCS bowls and have to play a Nebraska, Auburn, Oregon, or LSU. These guys are acting like they are up 31 - 0 against Alabama.

I don't give two ****s about Boise. Play in a real conference and get back to me....and no the MWC doesn't count.

That's less than the announced attendance for the Memphis-Centenary basketball game I watched online tonight instead of Boise.

Interesting tidbit on the broadcase -- the qb Moore had 3 schollie offers. They were:

Boise State (blue turf in stadium)
Eastern Washington (red turn in stadium)
Idaho (16K capacity Kibbie dome)

some choices, huh?

The more I watch Boise, the more I am convinced they are an absolute joke. Other BCS teams, and even some MWC teams, are beating the ever loving crap out of one another here in the stretch run of the season. Boise rolls into IDAHO and tries to run up the score. They're a good team - but no one knows how good because they don't face the same competition as everyone else. JOKE.

While BSU may be a joke with their SOS, both Knebraska and BSU played the Idaho Vandals. kNU got them at home and beat them 38-17. BSU played them on the road, pulled the majority of their starters in the 3rd qtr and beat them 52-14. Just sayin'...

BSU plays cheese whiz football against those weak-ass teams. Up 28-0, in their own territory, they go for it on 4th and 2. They wouldn't do that against a decent team, they wouldn't do that if they didn't NEED to run up the score. It's not "normal" football when you play such weak teams every single week. They play 2 decent OOC opponents a year, with an entire off season to prepare for one and a month to prepare for a bowl game. Granted, they have executed, but somehow the voters should taken into account their SOS.

Earlier in the season, BSU's SOS was far higher than nebraska's. Has that changed yet?

I'm sure Texas' collapse and Colorado's ongoing freefall (for the end of season perspective) isn't doing the huskers any favors.

Excellent post. :congrats:

It's a shame that the voters are continuing to rank them ahead of many legitimate 1-loss BCS conference teams.

Amen to this. Hell, the couple top 25 caliber teams they played, they struggled with. Even La Tech gave them a good game, and La Tech is awful. Had La Tech been a team like any you might run into in the big 12 or SEC, BSU would have a loss.

Props to the OSU fans for breaking into the classic "Over-rated" chant when they started talking about Boise-hoax on GameDay.

Yall some haters. Hate the BCS stooges that we don't get a playoff. I don't even watch the bowls anymore, college football's postseason has essentially been ruined.

What are they supposed to do - not run up the score? They beat a pretty darn good 6-2 Hawaii team and moved down in the polls, while Auburn played a D2 school at home and keeps moving up. They can't control their schedule.

Anyone notice that Oregon State lost to mighty Wazzu tonight? And it wasn't close. So much for one of your "marquee" wins, Boise-hoax.
