Is the best WR we've had at CU since Michael Westbrook. This kid is a superstar in the making. If he stays healthy, he'll be playing on Sunday and making a lot of money doing it. I just hope we can get him the ball enough for the next few years to adequately showcase his abilities.

He's a special player.

Carruth was pretty good.
 
One silver lining to TH's injury is that Cody and Richardson seem to be on the same page in a way that TH and PR weren't. (Obviously, Hansen's injury was a real setback for the program and for Hansen personally.) Richardson's recent, record-breaking success may cause him to feel a bit better about the program and staying in Boulder. Of course, Cody won't be around next year.....

It's been reported by one insider on Rivals that he will leave at break. Pretty good source.

However, things change and until we hire a new staff, no point in talking about it.

I thing PR was breaking out with or without Cody. He has made steady progress throughout the season in learning finer points like hot routes and reads. Sort of the way Simas broke out late last year. Speaking of Simas, heard he is working on Cabral for another chance.... Sorry if already posted.

I hadn't heard he was contemplating transferring. That would be a catastrophic loss, IMO. This kid is special. He makes other teams gameplan for him. When you do that, you've got something.

We need to keep this kid in Boulder.

Somebody brought up Carruth - I think Richardson is better. Maybe not as fast (although he's plenty fast), but he seems to have football instincts that really separate him from the rest of the receivers. He gets open, and catches everything thrown at him. Incredible player.
 
Can we send him a care package? Perhaps sand from the beach in a jar? Can someone do something to make him feel at home? Come on people!?!?!
 
Does he have aspirations to go to the league? Tell him in 3 short years he could be playing in Buffalo or Greenbay and to relish his time in paradise, don't worry about home!
 
I'm sure he does have aspirations to play in the league. He's that good. Staying at CU will get him there a lot faster. That's something to consider if he's really thinking of this. Which I really hope he's not.

And hopefully the next HC can get the chance to sit down with him and explain that to him. Convince Richardson that he will be a huge part of the offense and will get every opportunity to showcase his skills.
 
If he wants to go back to the west coast he is going to have a major problem. He will either have to play at a MWC/WAC level school and sit out for a year (he still has his RS year) or give up two years at a PAC school including his RS and a year of eligibility. If he stays at CU, even if he doesn't like it, at the rate he is performing he could be a pro prospect in two years, about the time he would be looking at getting on the field at a California PAC school.

The Pac-12 doesn't tack a year onto the NCAA rule for in-conference transfers. That was a Big 12 thing.

I'm sure that would look good when trying to recruit the next PRich. I hope the guy stays, but if he wants to leave, we gotta let him go.
 
If the kid wants to go then let him go, even if it's in conference, but he should give us a fair chance to stay, we took a chance on him didn't we? He didn't come in on a high note if I remember correctly.
 
I think hell stay. Fall break is coming and so is winter break. He's getting more playin time than he normally would as a freshman.
 
In the Big Ten, if you transfer in-conference, you lose your scholly and have to pay your own way at the new school.

Still not sure why a kid like him would look elsewhere. Seriously, how many other NCAA freshman WR's have had better seasons than him? What exactly does he expect? He is on the verge of breaking out...

He's well beyond "the verge", IMO. The kid is something special. Truly. He's fun to watch.
