all the special teams decisions were the riddler's, including the way awesome rugby kicks.

cabral keeps preaching group and team effort and he has to do that through the end of the year, but i just have to wonder what he really thinks about the riddler's magic clinics.

this is one of the reasons i am a bit hesitant about cabral as hc. he really would need to clean effing house and get a damned offensive genius in to run the offense, too.

i might keep hagan if i were cabral and i got the hc gig. maybe.

Agreed on the new coaching staff. If Cabral is HC, and I'm afraid I'm really not in favor of it, he needs to clean house. At most keep like 2 or mmmmmmaybe 3 guys on staff.

To be fair...if we're going to keep killing Riddle (and he deserves it)...that also means the fake reverse call the broke Jaffee loose was also his call. That said, I'm pretty sure ISU has one of the worst kick coverage units in the country. Also I hope the new staff reconsiders the extensive use of walk-ons on special teams.

i agree on the walk-on thing. absolutely. i'll paraphrase what an ex-coach (who was mighty successful in his day) said to me when he witnessed this policy: "why in the world would you send walk-ons out there to try to stop the other team's very best, fastest, and most elusive player with the ball? this is not smart."
