Ambitious but rubbish.

What is the deal with this kid? more of a passer than Martinez? more mature? anything better or worse?

Dual threat like Taylor, similar but less speed. He has got a little time in this season, but has struggled with turnovers. Hopefully practice reps this week will help him. I also expect to see a lot of wildcat on Friday with Burkhead taking the snap, that has been pretty effective. In summary, Colorado gets a pretty decent break if Martinez isnt playing.

I didn't know about Lee. Too bad if true - especially now when he could be getting some playing time..it is his senior year, right?

I think NU also gets a bit of a break with us missing Tyler. Cody has been playing well, but it would be nice to have Tyler's escapability/running ability at our disposal for this one.

Correct, this is Lee's Senior year. I think most Husker fans would feel better with him than Green. I also agree with you that NU caught a break by facing Cody instead of Tyler.

Cody has been able to spread the ball out though and play smart. P Rich, McKnight, and Clemons are weapons that he has and Speedy with the running game.

I would add to the quetion list:

1. What happened to Zac Lee?

2. What about Kody Spano?

Lee is out and done for the year. Can't throw but can hand off.

Spano is able to play but is so far behind the curve he won't.

Green is a serviceable 3rd stringer but is just that..a 3rd stringer. Threat to fumble or pick 6 anytime he touches it. NOT a running threat in this offense unless the hole is massive. Really really stares down his receivers.

best bet for us is wildcat with Rex Burkhead.

Thanks. Green is number three because Lee was number 2 before injury, right? My gut tells me Martinez will play. He is a terrific threat in a zone read scheme.

Cody green looks like a deer in the headlights almost all the time!! I would sure feel better with Lee, but as been mentioned most likely he's out for the year. I just highly doubt T-Mart will start.

I feel confident with Green at the helm. He would be a good choice at QB for an under-center option/run heavy offense. He can't really operate out of the shotgun running the zone read. Should be a great game on Friday.

Bo Noes recruiting.

If Green starts, he will be fine. He is still growing and gets better every opportunity he gets to play.

Don't count on seeing Martinez. He may be out until the bowl game.

As evidenced by what? His pick and fumble against A&M? He's about the 9th best QB we've faced all year. He'll be the 2nd best "Cody" on the field.

You people can talk yourselves into just about anything. He isn't Brook Berringer and this isn't 1994.

LMAO! We'll see.

I just know Green was a 4 star and big get originally - not quite panning out from what my nub-buddies at work tell me. They didn't know Lee was hurt, though, thinking he was 3rd behind Green anyway.

Cody's played well for us the last couple of games, but he hasn't had people in his face as he will against Nebraska, and that's when he makes mistakes. We'll see.

Lee was listed as 3rd on the depth chart at the beginning of the season, but it's known that he is still the 2nd string QB. Apparently he was getting pretty cocky in the off-season and Bo wanted to send a message to him. I've heard rumors from Lee has hurt his throwing hand to he has a torn-labrum in his throwing shoulder. He apparently took more reps in practice today than he has for several weeks, but I don't know if I believe that. This coaching staff is secretive about that stuff and like to screw with opponents. It's obvious to me that Martinez won't be playing, he's in a boot today, and Green will get all the snaps. Green is going to practice with the 1's all this week and that's the first time he's done that. Get pressure on him and the game is over, he's jittery as hell.

Lee & Green were 2A and 2B. Lee, slow as he is, was a bigger threat in the Zone Read..and, when healthy, is a heck of a passer. Green, not so much. If Green plays, it will be pretty close UNLESS your D totally blows it.

Both are a major step down.

Green can throw when he has alot of space to do so. If CU's secondary is suspect he'll get some decent passes off. Watching him run though...............he's slow as fook.

CU has good DB's but their safeties are very suspect. One's a true frosh and Polk is just a disaster.

Nebraska's running game will give cu's defense fits.Yes,CU held thomas in check but overall, cu's defense has been a letdown, especially pass defense considering we have 2 nfl corners.

NU is at home, pissed over the ag loss. I'm hoping like hell CU beats you corncobs but something doesn't smell right and it's not the burning dung pile.

Cu needs TO's and if they can find a way to get stewart 75-100yds, cu should be able to hit some big plays with clemons, richardson and jefferson.

Special teams is a huge advantage for the nubs.
