the twitter is incorrect in one matter.....
Anschutz is a billionaire..not millionaire

for 100mm, i say he can violate snow, itb, and navy to his heart's content AND pick the next coach.

who's with me?

Lets hope he feels like getting into a pissing contest with Phil Knight :smile2:

Does Anschutz currently support the AD? Or just the University? I know he's got the Anschutz Medical Campus, but I hadn't heard of him pumping $$ into the AD

I didn't know he was a CU booster...he has built stadiums for different pro sports teams...pretty handy if Folsom Field needs a major renovation down the road.

I'm down with that. He can even get freaky, as long as they get free care at the awesome new Anschutz Medical Campus.

Makes since to me that Anschutz, an evangelical, would back Mac. Whether he is CU's biggest donor is a different question. I doubt he is our biggest athletics donor.

Yeah, I believe Anschutz is the largest donor to the school, b/c of the new Med center. It would be nice to get some of his pocket change (a billion or two) for the AD also.

E.g., Dan Ritchie got a bunch of prominent Coloradoans and Denverites to kick in money despite not being DU Alumni. He raised the money, in large part, by appealing to the ideals of civic pride and philanthropy. Ritchie has transformed DU's athletic and academic facilities 10x for the better. It would be nice to see Bohn get similar people on board for the Buffs.
