Miller and Richardson refuse to commit to returning

Miller? Really? So much for, "We are Colorado." WhereTF else is he gonna go

nfl or quit

Couldn´t he transfer without having to sit out a year? This, technically, is his senior season (but he got a medical redshirt for 08), so I´d guess he´s close to getting his degree or has it already. Can´t players who have received their degree transfer w/o penalty? I don´t think he´d have much of a shot in the 2011 Draft.

I think Miller is truly kidding himself (and wasting a ****load of money) if he decides to enter the NFL draft.

I hope Richardson doesn't leave, but since he never wanted to come to Colorado in the first place this isn't much of a surprise.

CU can't afford to have richardson leave. Other than clemons, he's our only threat at wr. Jefferson could be another. Miller I agree is kidding himself, if he wants to leave so be it. He's been anti-fans and stand off-ish since last year.

I believe Miller could transfer.

Transfer to where? Why would he transfer? Afraid he might get a coach who won't coddle bad play?

I don´t know where he would transfer to and I am not to judge whether it´d be smart or not, but maybe he believes he should transfer to preserve a shot at the NFL. God knows.

I think what you're referring to is if they get their degree but still have a year of eligibility left. And I think that only applies if you're switching sports like Paulus did last year.

He is prolly pissed cuz he knows it will be like his 4th OL coach in his career

He's actually been one of the better OL this season. I hope he stays but we really need richardson.

You know what...if they want to leave, leave. I don't want people on the team who aren't commited and are just going through the motions.

I don´t think it does. Sumler did it, although I don´t know who he transferred to, and wasn´t there a safety who played for Meyer at Utah and transferred to Florida? I roughly think I remember something.

Edit: Name is Ryan Smith

Under a little-known NCAA rule, which recently has become a hot-topic issue among coaches, athletes who receive their degree are free to transfer to another school and play immediately if they have playing eligibility remaining.

Get the new coaching staff in....they will get it sorted out. We need Richardson.

I'm not sure if it would be a violation of NCAA rules, but if 60+ former players care enough about the program to fly, drive 100's of miles to talk to Bohn about the coaching hire, then maybe a couple of former players could sit down with Ryan and Paul and give them a ear and possibly some advice.

It would probably be ok not to interogate players about their respective futures a few minutes after a bad loss. Miller goes in the first 3 or 4 rounds if he leaves, but he'll be a much higher pick with another year under his belt. Richardson is a great player and I hope he makes no decision until he sees what sort of style the new coach brings.

honestly, you talk to players right after the last game of the season after they got thumped, and you think they want to hear a question like, "Are you gonna come back?"

So let's say Richardson and Miller just kind of laugh and say something like, "oh man, I can't believe you're asking me that right now." Ringo then goes on Twitter and says "Richardson and Miller refuse to commit to returning."

Ta da! and now he has a few more twitter subscribers somewhere on the internetz.

I will never understand how as fans we are so excited for change yet some of the best players on the team can be so against it, despite one losing season after another.

This.

EB will get in Richardson's ear.

**** ringo or the other columnists who are asking these stupid questions.

That works... If they are not totally committed to the Buffs then take a hike... Just frees up a couple more scholies for EB to work some magic with. Honestly, the more guys that leave, the faster the new staff can get us back on track with their guys.

If they aren't sure they want to be here then they need to try something new.

This is correct. Ringo's a douche for asking such questions right after a loss. In any case, the new coach will have to "recruit" several current players no matter what.
