Could Jon Embree Be The Buff's New Head Coach ?

Embree got an interview last time we were hiring. Also, both Embree and Bienemy are being interviewed in DC as the Vikings play the Redskins Sunday. I'm hoping these aren't cover your ass minority interviews. We'll have a coach next week, won't we?

No thanks. Nothing to see here, move along. Next candidate please...

how is it going tonight, Mr Bohn? nice of you to have the time to stop by. nice interview you had in the booth. would have been better without the pick but, nice jacket! where did ya get it?

Pilots....fat,small,and other.

It would be very easy to get excited about supporting Jon Embree as we head into the 12 Pac.

Sure, but not HC. How about an assistant.

I don't see why not as head coach. I'm looking for a HC who can recruit, who can rally boosters, who can assemble a staff, who can inspire the team, and who can run an organization. Embree brings all that to the table. He'd be a very solid hire.

Very risky. This is the most critical time in our history. I like to roll the dice as well, but this seems very very risky.

Embree is far from a solid hire. He isn't the recruiter that EB is, and he hasn't been tested as a play-caller at any level he's coached.

I know Embo and respect the work he's done fore CU. It's just not his time, yet.

Perfect coordinator.

I'm not sure where you stand on Bieniemy, Valdez. Are you comfortable with Bieniemy, but not comfortable with Embree?

IMHO, Scooter has a way higher ceiling than Embo. If you are going to go with one of them, it better be Scooter.

But you'd agree that Embree has more coaching experience overall (significantly more years), more diverse coaching experiences (coached multiple positions, both offense and defense, compared to just one position for Bieniemy), has a much cleaner past (no off the field incidents, no arrests, no DUI's, never been banned from CU).

And if you believe some of the rumors, there's a decent chance Bieniemy comes to CU if Embree gets the job.

I personally would be happy either way.

I'd rather EB or pretty much any random coordinator from a top 25 team ahead of him. I'd take Leach first, if it came to that.

Great Buff. Fine human being. Would have done great in the business world. Love to have him as anything other than the top guy.

I always thought Scooter wanted the HC job, and he was pretty firm about it. I could be swayed if he would come with Embo.

I am but a pawn in the game of life. But there are people out there who say that Bieniemy / Embree have some kind of agreement (think blood brother's scene from The Hangover) where one will be the offensive coordinator for the other.

Who is this person?

If this is true, then why not let Bohn know about it? Wouldn't letting the AD know help their cause? Last I heard both candidates were interviewing separately.

They should interview together like in Step Brothers

It seems the reports all say that EB is "interviewing" for the HC job and they will also "talk" to Embree. Maybe EB is being targeted for HC and Embree is getting talked to to make sure he would come along as the OC. Keep Cabral as DC and I think we have the makings of a pretty good staff.

They should publicly offer Logan the TE position coaching job just to get all the Logan dildos on board too... Would be good for PR.

Eb as head coach Embree as OC, Cabral as assistant HC and linebackers, Mac as assistant AD in charge of football. I can hope can't I?

We really want Cabral as DC? The defense has not exactly been setting the world on fire the last three games. I'm all for keeping him as LB and assistant head coach, but not as DC.
