if he was hired, I wouldn't mind actually. I don't think he is as qualified as the person who I hope end up hiring...but Cabral is a great coach. He is a great mentor and Buff as well. What's wrong with Cabral? CU needs more alumni like Cabral in football. This thread sucks, because Cabral doesn't deserve any negativity. Roll your eyes all you want, but Cabral is a solid HC candidate.
he is solid head coaching candidate... just not for Colorado... for Greeley Absolutely... Boulder not so much

I would very much like to see Cabral on CU's sidelines next season.
Whoever ends up being HC would be well advised to keep Cabral in Boulder.

I think he would be a great DC. Next coach should make him a DC.
Eh, next coach should pick his own guy. If he wants Cabral, fine, but I'm not losing sleep over anyone on the current staff if they aren't here next year.
I prefer to bring Greg Brown back as DC.
Greg Brown coming back to Boulder is a very real possibility.

However just to clarify, I said I would make a serious case for him if he beat Nebraska. I would take some guys over Cabral right now, but theres a hell of a lot that I would still take Cabral over.

CABRAL is a great coach with amazing relationships with players. I'll take him for sure but he's going to need a lot of help.
One point that was brought up on Espn after the game is how much help we need in the admissions office. We need athletes, not even student athletes, just boys out there to play football and that's their focus. They talked about a turn around after a 1 win year where Mac teamed up with the Admissions and that alone helped us bring a higher caliber of athletes.

Oh huh... Well I had to look up prop 48 =) but here it is
"Implemented in 1986, it decreed that to be eligible to play in his or her freshman year, an incoming student-athlete had to have scored a combined 700 (out of a possible 1,600) on the SAT, or a comparable score on the ACT, and have earned a 2.0 (out of 4.0) average in 11 core high school courses."
