Thought this would be a fun one for a new thread

This will be our 4th hire since Mac resigned in 1994.
It took Oklahoma 4 hires to get back to their glory days. Can CU strike gold with their 4th as well?

Here are our comparisions.

Mac was our Switzer. Both legend coaches.
Neuheisel was our Shnellenberger. Cocky, nobody liked him.
Barnett was our Gibbs. Had some decent seasons, fizzled at end.
Hawk was our Blake. Good guys, couldn't get it done.

Now, who is our Bob Stoops??:smile2:

I hate Barry Switzer for ruining the cowboys, and I hate Bob Stoops for being Bob Stoops.

Other than that, I really hope that we can get a coach in here that can recruit and win games as well as Oklahoma has done despite their dumbass head coach.
 
What if our Stoops happened to be the real Stoops? Crazy, right? Just like the Three Amigos El Guapo was a big mean Mexican guy whose name happened to be El Guapo.

I really hope that Embree is our Stoops. However, given the comparisons I'd say he is going to be more like our Blake. He'll recruit well, stock the table, but not produce like we'd like. It'll be the next guy that finds massive success.

I hope I'm wrong though and that Embree tears it up (assuming Embree is the guy)

That's misdirected hate - steer it toward the owner who hired him. Same owner that continues the joyous destruction of the Cowgirls.
