Buffnik

Real name isn't Nik

When he was a high school coach at Berkeley HS in Cali, he mentored Hannibal Navies.

So there is a bit of a Buff connection.

Berkeley HS has to be the weirdest high school in the united states. Think Boulder High with real thugs and smarter smart kids.

So I know that Tui is supposed to be an ace recruiter and all, but a quick look at UA's 18 recruits and not a single DT nor a single Polynesian name....

Is he saving it up for CU?

For that matter not much in terms of DB's (see Greg Brown)

They have commits from two Cali kids (neither showing any other offer)
They have a commit from a TX kid with Baylor, Iowa and E. Carolina offers.
They have a commit from Ezekiel Bishop (Denver East) listed as an Athlete.

Bishop has long been rumored as a qualifying risk.

Is he related to the the former Washington QB?

He is. Mike is the uncle of Marques, who played at U-dub. Marques is the son of Manu Tuiasosopo, or "Big Manu", who played D-line for the Seahawks in the late 70's and early/mid 80's. Helluva athletic family.

Looks like Tui recruited:
Jared Baker - 3* RB

and Brown:
Ezekiel Bishop - 3* ATH

I tend to agree on this season.

But last season Tui recruited a 2*, two 3* and a 4* DT. 3 of those look Polynesian.

Brown again didn't really recruit anyone. Brown isn't really known as a recruiter tho, is he?

His Bio... I assume for this year?

If you go back a few more years, you see that his resume is littered with 3* and 4* kids at LB and DT.
