So, which current player is helped the most by the coaching change?

When a coaching staff is changed it usually means that some guys fall out of favor or don't fit the new system and that others step up because they match what the new coaches want. Other times guys manage to get out of the dog house or are helped simply by getting to practice in front of new sets of eyes.

Who has the best chance of stepping out of the shadows and making an impact under the new staff? Some guys I see.

Celestine and Simmons at WR
Allen at RB
Thornton at TE
Richter and MTM on the O-line
Kasa, Obi, Bonsu on the D-line (I know that Kasa has already played a lot but I can see him dominating if his talents are used right)

Who else? Who do you see being helped the most and why?

Everyone

Miller, with his physical tools he'll see his draft value go through the roof now that he has a real coach!

Bryce Givens.

He'll get a real S&T Coach, a real OL Coach, and leadership that actually encourages playing with emotion.

I say of current starters Speedy and Miller. They will get the coaching to take the next step.

People who will not be helped are those who are coasting through their time at CU. Certain players who haven't been caring will not fare well.

There are some soft players on this team and EB will weed them out quickly.

MTM isn't going to be helped. Love the kid, but his knees are basically ruined.

little worried about Richardson. he's got a ton of talent and swagger.

i think JE will have high expectations for him i just hope he brings it as far as work ethic on practice field and in the weight room.

DL and lb's.OL will be more physical. Too bad herrod didn't get this staff, he was ****ed over by hawk and bandison. Bull**** way to treat a kid who went through so much.

It's not so much abou the BS he had to put up with, it was that he seemed to be put in the dog house when he was our sack leader his Jr year. That's the bull**** part. The guy hardly ever saw the field in his senior year (I'll chalk that up to a ****ty 3-4 scheme without a true NT).

Ryan Deehan, DaVaughn Thornton, Matt Bahr & Harold Mobley.

The TE's will be not be cliniced by the Riddler. Embree, former position coach of NFL great Tony Gonzalez, is not going to let TE's be underutilized.

Good point. Embree was a TE himself in the NFL and at CU. Tight Ends are rarely used in college football, and most defenses are not properly equipped to defend against them.

I think Givens and Mller will really shine under the new staff. Also will see whoever is put in as a fullback. The physical play they want on the O is going to be a huge lift for all involved in the power runnig game.

I also think Hansen may be the one who is hurt the most. I am not sold on his ability and we may see Hirshman or Bergland get a nod. It should be interesting to see how it plays out in the Spring and Fall. He will obviously have a lead going into the Spring, but he may struggle if he cannot improve his downfiled throwing.

Speedy with EB's guidance and then the TE's with Embree we might actually see them getting used effectively this next season.

Behrens?? Showed some promise as a freshman.

I've always thought it was weird that he started a bunch of games as a freshman, graded out well, and then was buried on the depth chart as a junior. He was a pretty highly regarded prospect by when we recruited him, too. Rivals had him as the #17 guard in the country and just below a 4* rating (Scout as a 3* & #26 guard).

Definitely an opportunity for him this spring.
