Pelini is such a sweetheart.

I wonder when Bo's act will start wearing thin in fuskerland. I'm sure there are some folks already who are none too pleased with him. And while their on-field performance has improved, they're still a long ways away from their glory years. There's no indication that they're getting any better, either.

Bo is a good coach but he will never be a great coach. He lacks the leadership to carry his team to the top levels of college football. You cannot act like a child half the time and expect people to keep following. Sometimes you have to be above the noise.

I was going along with the story, ready to get out my tiny violin, and then I read, "If we were still in the Big 12, (I'd want to see) Texas at Nebraska," Ryan said with a smirk. "Texas at Nebraska . . . so maybe we can get some fair calls."

Now I don't feel sorry for either of them.

He'll give himself an an aneurysm long before he gets a chance to be a good coach. Its a wonder he can retain any of his players after he screams himself horse at them,

What a complete dickwad. He will fail....no question. Just a matter of time.

Bo is a dick... but who would let some kid call a play in a bowl game?

The Nebraska fans I know are very uncomfortable with Bo Pelini. They like that they're winning again and are playing Nebraska defense. But his sideline antics and the way he acts at times has rubbed a lot of bugeater fans the wrong way (especially the older ones). It seems they are hoping that Dr. Tom can mentor Bo into being more of a gentleman. I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

My guess is that unless Bo quickly takes the Nubs to the next level (Big 10 title or a BCS bowl), he'll be leaving the Corn for a different opportunity and the fusker faithful will be happy to see his back.

A bugeater fan here at work said he did the same thing last year -- it was supposedly a joke then, too. I guess losing your bowl game is the big difference?

What a freaking ****sucker. A great example this guy is for his players. Can you imagine the kind of people this guy is molding? This guy is nothing but a small son of *****. It makes him feel good to scream at people and put them down. It makes him feel good to make a fool out of a military man, who is fighting for his freedom and is a fan of his own team. You should be real proud of yourself little bo peep.

After watching that bowl game....maybe he should have let the young man call some plays...

I agree, what is the worst that happens? At least this kid yound man is getting his 20 minutes. He was on the radio here talking about his story.

I didn't read the article. What happened? He said he'd let the kid call a play and then didn't?

I agree bro. He is giving huskers AND Osborne a black eye everytime he makes the news when he blows a gasket or two on the sideline. I'm surprised Tom is letting him get away with all that cause he must be. He hasn't changed at all and he's doing the same thing every saturday.

To be fair, it really sounded like the guy was putting the "petty" back in "petty officer".

Maybe we could get some fair calls. Give me a break.

Bo is a jerk... Plain and simple. Too bad he could not keep his word to a Serviceman. Reading the story, it obviously meant something to the kid.

Just one of many completely classless moves by Bo. Shameful.

Great observation - it's his first job as HC. I think he will learn - his problem is Husker fans live in a delusional world. They really have it pretty good with Bo. They think they will return to Osborne winning seasons. Keep eating those mushrooms that grow in the cow $h!t and smoke some more corn silk. It ain't never going to happen again.
