where this class ranks in the PAC 12

ESPN has CU dead last, with a grade of D. This class's ranking is about on par with the 2010 class. It's been mentioned that unless CU starts winning and winning soon, recruiting will be difficult to improve.

Dead last compared to what? Did you see Colorado at #60 compared to Arizona at #68 or ASU at #67?
When looking at the old dreg conference, K-State is #65.

The numbers are right there in your own link.

Reading isn't necessarily a land thief's strong point, Skid.

we got a damn good class for 13 days of recruiting.... but that doesn't make it a good class.

Keep in mind that ESPN has Dorman and Tuumalo at 2 stars and Creer not even ranked, while Scout and Rival have them higher. Also, we had less scholarships than the other PAC-12 schools. Not saying this is a great class by any means, but I don't think D is accurate at all (and I'm not even talking about how strong Embree finished with such a short amount of time).

UBT is a sooner. He doesn't care he just wants to get us riled up.

I cant believe we even cracked the top 75. I figured being the top 100 would have been a good first class given what this staff had to work with. But 61? thats incredible

Recruiting is over. I don't care about this **** anymore. We won't hear much about these recruits for a year or two. Not to say recruiting isn't important. The "importance" of this recruiting class isn't who we signed. Its that JE, EB and the gang got their names back into the minds of the California and Texas high school programs. This recruiting season got us back in the game. One thing I heard is that high school coaches were blown away by the CU staff. The importance of this recruiting season will be born out next year and after.

But do not take what I just said as any kind of disappointment in the kids we signed. The kids who signed on Wednesday will have, for the rest of their lives, the pride of being the first recruiting class of Jon Embree and the resurgence of The University of Colorado football! I know. Overly dramatic. But I believe it. I'd bet the guys in Mac's first recruiting class will always be filled with pride that they were the foundation of a future national champion.

we went from about 81 to 60 in a matter of a week per Scout. it's not ideal or where we want to be...but not a 100 type disaster.

:yeahthat:

And the thing that would blow all of our minds is that had Lucien and Willingham come here, that 60 probably turns into a 30.

Didn't Hawk pull in a top 30 class after winning 2 games? I'm guessing next year's class will be top 30 at the least. The rankings are what they are. This is a good haul considering, but the "experts" aren't going to consider anything. They just rank em.

I still want to know if he's brave enough to tell his wife the same thing....

you bet..... she knows, from me that Buffs finished in the bottom 50% of all school in recruiting coming in at #61 and saw the reports from ESP. She also watched, as school was closed, ESPN and their 6 hours of recruiting on Wednesday 2/3. Was wondering if anyone heard of Colorado and their "success" in recruiting was ever mentioned.

Just funny that OU only had 17 open schollies but I dont see them down on the bottom half of recruiting. So it cant from the lack of schollies that caused the Buffs to be ranked where they are it, can it?
