The Big 12 does'nt have enough quality football games to fill it's T.V. time slots.

Shudder, they'll have to schedule something other than D2 schools in September!!!

The article makes good points, though on paper the A&M-SMU and Tech-Nevada matchups mentioned at the end look competitive and I'd watch.

Nice work! The "Big Nothings" really are hurting for a number of quality Non-conference games next season. I know the norm is to have a weak "preseason" schedule these days to get wins on the board, but this is weaker than what I thought it might be as a group.

The quality of FBS OOC opponents is terrible.

#3 TCU is wasted on a Baylor matchup.
#8 Arkansas against #17 Aggie has some potential, if Sherm can somehow keep A&M competitive.
#15 Nevada (against Texas Tech) comes in as the 3rd best OOC game.
#23 Florida State against #7 Oklahoma is the only game with legitimate national interest.

UConn snuck into a BCS bowl as the Big East champ and finished 8-5 with a blow out loss against OU. Their game agaist cellar dweller ISU has Yawn written all over it.
Let's be honest. Nobody outside of the Hawkeye state cares about Iowa(8-5)-Iowa State. Iowa finished 8-5 beating Mizzou in the Insight Bowl, so they aren't totally pathetic. Miami (7-6), Arizona (7-6), Arizona State (6-6), GTech (6-7), UCLA (4-8) are coming off of mediocre seasons.
There is a complete lack of traditional star power like Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, USC, LSU, Alabama, Florida, or hot teams like Boise, Auburn or Oregon.

Pathetic.

OU-Tulsa and Baylor-TCU are the 2 best television options for Sept 3 per the networks

The Pac will ikely feature Oregon-LSU and CU-Hawaii.
