Pryor leaves Ohio State (was: We now take you to Columbus, Ohio)

I'm sure they'll lower it to 3 games. I'm sick of the buckeyes. My family, friends and wife's family back in ohio are almost as bad as nub fans..almost.

No way that is true. The OSU guys I know are smart, albeit annoying.....fuskers are the dumbest MFers on the planet.

Oh, their smart and are squared away but I should have stated their arrogance is almost as bad...

Agreed....I can somewhat tolerate arrogant pricks if they are smart. The worst thing in the world is a stupid arrogant prick.....

who do you hate more buckeye fans or mcdaniels...

 Damn good question. Mcdaniels and his brothers played for our rival at Canton Mckinley, I went to massillon. Think the forcier family. Very arrogant. His dad was a good coach, he also coached mario manningham at Warren Harding.

Anyway, Mcdaniels is a douche but he's just one guy. Their are millions and millions of buckeye fans and many of my high school friends and other friends went to OSU. To this day they are almost unbearable when it comes to the buckeyes so I'd have to choose buckeye fans.

With the reports coming out that Tressel knew about players selling gear back in April but the school not finding out until 8 months later... this penalty is more likely to get worse than better.

I like the part where they could fire tressel for cause . Never gonna happen, but wowww

Only for the school/admin/coach. I bet the students do some community service and get off with 3 games.

Could be, don't know how long it would take but .....

Wouldn't surprise me. A lot of people are still peeved about letting the players still play in the BCS bowl game, so that might color their decision making if they don't want more public backlash. With the NCAA though, who knows.

Ohio State has called a press conference for 7PM eastern tonight. The President, AD, and Tressel are all supposed to be there.

you know what i really hate about tressel and ohio state? ... their absolute insistence to anyone who will listen that they have the highest academic and character standards in the country. they are arrogant pricks and act like they never do anything wrong. yet, the historical record indicates quite a different story. maurice clarett is my personal favorite example.

this is gonna be fun.

As much as I hope so. I'm betting that the press conference will go like this: "We are looking into recently surfaced allegations that some NCAA violations may have occurred within our football program. Until we have fully investigated this situation, we will have no public comments about what may have happened. Coach Tressel is a man of unquestionable integrity and commitment to this University and student athletes and has the full support of this administration. Make no mistake, the integrity of OSU football is of the utmost importance and any possible infractions will be dealt with accordingly. Thank you for your time."

Will probably be a whole lot of nothing.

probably spot on. Unless they do somthing crazy and dock him a years pay or something. But mostly the ESPN commentary will be the fun part.

The ESPN commentary where the analyst starts to say something bad about OSU and then you see his muscles suddenly tighten up and his eye balls bulge out for a split second before he says, "let's just see what the investigation shows, we do know OSU is a great institution."

I'm starting to think the NCAA is pro-wrestling. Maybe tonight will bring back my faith.

"Tressel had not resigned or been fired as of 5:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, sources within Ohio State's athletic department told The Columbus Dispatch."

The deathwatch begins...

"I am sorry and disappointed this happened. At the time the situation occurred, I thought I was doing the right thing," Tressel said in a school statement.

Doing the right thing by trying to brush a possible NCAA violation under the rug ? What a class act.

God tressel is such a snake. and the Gene Smith says that tOSU decided to self report today, REALLY, would you have if yahoosports didn't already break the story?

That is a goddamn joke.

One can only hope the NCAA will take a tougher stance than OSU did.:lol::rolling_eyes:

They had better. This is such bull****. I think Tressel make Dr. Tom look like an angel.

 look at their schedule next year. He is suspended for Akron and Toledo. First game back is Miami (the real one not the ohio one.)
