STOWE, Vt. — Goal and tribute accomplished. The University of Colorado ski team honored its fallen team member, Spencer Nelson, just as it had set out to, by winning the school’s 18th national title in the sport with a solid showing the slalom Saturday in cruising to the win in the 58th Annual NCAA Skiing Championships.

**** YOU Pios!!!

FIGHT CU DOWN THE SLOPES
CU MUST WIN
FIGHT FIGHT FOR VICTORY
CU KNOWS NO DEFEAT
WE'LL ROLL UP A MIGHTY SCORE
NEVER GIVE IN
SHOULDER TO SHOULDER
WE WILL FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

This is CU’s sixth title in skiing since the sport went coed in 1983, as the Buffaloes previously won titles in 1991, 1995, 1998, 1999 and 2006; Colorado had won 11 NCAA men’s and one AIAW women’s titles before the genders merged. Overall, it is the school’s 24th national championship, including three in men’s cross country (2001, 2004, 2006), two in women’s cross country (2000, 2004) and one in football (1990).

NOICE! There's a reason it's called "Ski U - Boulder"

Edit: Did anyone else notice the poor sap on the right side of the picture getting pulled down the mountain in the "dead sled" ?

I'm sure the Conference of Champions are enjoying the fact that they will add like 45 more national champions once CU and Utah join.

Congrats Buffs! When you look at the breakdown of total championships the Rocky Mountain Region dominates in ridiculous fashion (started in 1954):
DU - 23
CU - 18
UU - 10
WYO - 2
