No surprise here, but I don't get how Bevo should be considered the favorite replacing Ralphie as the best mascot? It had to be another heavy handed idea by texass. I'd love to see them (texass) have as bad (or worse) season as they did last year!

and the most disturbing portion of that little blog:

Mark in Nebraska writes: Why can't I quit you?

DU: Listen: Adam is a nice guy. You guys will be happy together. We had some good times, but it's best if we just go our separate ways. Just go. GO!

Leave it to a Fusker and a TexAss blogger to take things in that direction... and yes there is very much something wrong with that!

Gahhh. I couldn't read that without that feeling reserved for going back to a highshool reunions and hearing stories between people you didn't like back then and haven't kept up with since.

Me no care bout the Big teXIIs no more.

I'll never understand why so many people think that a cow standing around makes for an interesting mascot. For the new Big Tex, I think the Boomer Sooner is the only interesting one. Baylor doesn't have a live bear anymore, right, after the way they abused and neglected the old one? And I'm pretty sure that Mizzou doesn't have an actual tiger, right? So that leaves us with a covered wagon, a cow, some cartoon characters, and a skinny kid in a football uniform who is wearing the head from a halloween cat costume. Did I miss anything?

The Baylor campus does have a very nice bear habitat with two residents name Judge Sue "Lady" Sloan and Judge Joy Reynolds. It would be a great feature on any campus, and is the undisputed best part of all of Waco. They don't bring the bears out to the stadium, though.

When I was checking out Baylor's Bear Project and habitat, I did find myself wishing that Ralphie had a permanent diggs on CU's campus instead of the temporary pens that are set up just for game day.

You left out the ku & ksjuco mascot, a bird that dosn't really exist And a wild cat that's mild. I would have mentiond the cyclones, but that's a weather event reserved for another part of the world so it would never qualify anymore than a sooner schooner would. My vote would be for the mizzoo Tigers.

In the absense of a live mascot, KU makes up for it by erecting some ugly Jayhawk themed sculptures around campus.

This Bird/Fish combo by the book store is messed up on so many levels.

It had a bit part in Flintsones Viva Rock Vegas as the dictabird.

The mythical prehistoric Jayhawk is way cooler than a drugged out mutant cow with a carrot stained diaper orange coloration.

too bad he doesn't show the hand signal on his forehead, eh?....

:smile2:

You never know where a Tech fan's hands of been. Pretty good choice for best mascot in the Big teXIIs conference, though.

I'm thinking a great mascot for the Big 12 would be a Steer branded with a Jayhawk, Wildcat, Cyclone, Pistol Pete, Sooner, Aggie, Bear, Tiger, Cowboy, and a Uterus.

Why not a logo featuring DeLoss Dodd's arse, which they all kiss continually anyway.
