When will I get my season tix and what road games will not be on TV?

I have heard that season tickets should be delivered by the end of the month, anyone getting them yet?

Also for the road games, which games are likely to not be on TV this year? It seems that every year there is at least one or two that no one picks up thanks to the Big 12 not allowing local channels to pick it up. Any bets?

I'm confused why the Big 12 has any say over what we do. We in the PAC-12 now! Those bitches can't do ****.

We used to be in the Big12 and they were the reason why we got screwed on the TV deal. No longer though, thus the question.

I should have read that more carefully..... Really I just wanted an opportunity to say **** the Big 12. Regardless, I don't have any educated guesses.

Unless something has changed - I usually don't get my season tickets in the mail until mid-August ...

Too soon to know what CU games won't be on TV but given the upcoming Pac-12 deal, this could be our last year of not having some games on TV which is a nice bonus.

Yeah, I've never gotten mine before late July and I get them through campus mail. I actually hope I don't get them until late summer. Less time to lose them.

There is no way we're getting season tickets any time soon - we usually move around in our section every year & I have yet to receive a phone call confirming where there are available tickets. Plus, like dply said, I don't know why they would send them out so early -- much more time for people to misplace them.

Road game TV in Pac 10/12

Just one year left on the current Pac12 ABC/FSN contract. The road game TV will be very similar to Big 12 this year - the key thing to know is that FSN and ABC have rights to their timeslot, 12:30pm PT and whatever late afternoon/night game they choose in advance. The problem for road game TV is that the home team has control over the start time if not picked up for national TV. So they essentially have the choice of moving the game outside the ABC/FSN (and sometimes Versus) windows to get local TV involved - but there have been rare occasions when the home team decided that moving a start time to an unfavorable time will ruin attendance and then even the away team cannot televise (mostly this is to keep a 12:30 PT start). On top of that, and this is very annoying, the networks will often wait until 6 days in advance to announce their games, then there is a start from scratch Saturday schedule to get TV slots lined up. Though teams that aren't in contention are often notified in advance that the have been released and can set their kickoffs in advance.

We are all looking forward to new TV contracts, not just for money, but because of the promise of ALL games being televised in football and basketball, though there might still be a lot of horsing around with kickoff times.

For CU's road games, Washington, Stanford, and Utah will almost certainly be televised. UW may suck, but they always find a way to get their games on local TV, meaning that CU can either send their own team or get the UW/Northwest feed. Would guess that stanford will be on TV since they are going to be highly ranked, but they are one school that has been a stubborn on occasion in regards to moving a home game kick off time to accommodate a road broadcast (they draw like garbage so home market isn't a big deal to them). Arizona State has some kind of waiver from Fox/ABC where they can do a 7pm local kickoff due to the heat in Phoenix, so that shouldn't be a problem either. @ UCLA is very likely due to the market size, but if they suck, who knows.. some other potentially very good games that day. it's OSU and WSU that that repel TV, but lucky for CU they are in the north.

The 12 and 6 day announcements certainly suck for planning ahead, even for home games/tailgating/etc. Welcome to the Pac12. Hopefully it's just a year more of BS.

This site is very useful for figuring out possible kickoff times even if it's still a TBA. When the ABC/FSN-national slots are scheduled, you pretty much know your team will/won't be playing then:

Maybe I didnt understand the girl on the phone when I ordered the tix. I thought she said we would get them by the end of the month but now I am remembering that she said we would be called and notified where the seats will be by the end of the month. It does seem a little early to actually be sending them out. I just want to know where they will be since I gave them my money already and don't have anything to actually show for it.
