Two first round drafts picks and we can't even go to a F**KING BOWL GAME

The part that drives me really nuts is that we had 2 first round O-Linemen (I am assuming with Miller here, but he is going to be a BEAST this season) on our team and we couldn't rush for a single first down against KU to end the game...unbelievable.

Have to ru the ball to get a first. Stupid play calling.

Said it before, I dont know how you could try and lose that game. 45-17 and we lose. Guess it had to happen for his ass to finally get fired, what a bad day tho.

I saw in the Daily Camera that Colorado was one of six college teams with multiple 1st round draft picks. The others are Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Mizzouri, and Wisconsin. All but Baylor had 10 win seasons, and Baylor had massive improvement last year. I know there is nothing that can be done, but seriously I want to hit something when I think of how badly wasted our talent was under Hackins.

i have massive emotional trauma from that game. we are here in chat, with the radio on, no TV.....coasting along, yukking it up....and bang bang bang...we lose. i was looking at last year's stats and Cody has 12 more completions than TH on the year, with 70 more attempts. tells you something about the play-calling after TH got hurt. and the absurd failure of the staff to close that game out. even if you run the ball into the LOS, take the full time off the playclock, 3 times and punt....no way KU gets back in the game.

Exactly, D II was all about CH throwing the ball, evrything else was secondary. D II was going to show the world you could win throwing the football with wiffle ball velocity, or go down trying.

i used to love that Helfrich era play we used to run where Cody would roll out one way, turn, throw the ball parallel to the LOS...all the way across the field to a WR 7 yards behind the LOS and get tackled for maybe a yard.....that play was like watching oil shale develop.....still stunned that wasn't a pick six the other way almost every time. like a 30 yard throw that nets nothing and hangs in the air longer than a girl fart you can't talk about.

ugh, you just had to remind me....

I heard somewhere that in the KU game, starting in the 4th quarter a QB kneel on every down would have taken enough time off the clock that barring a KU punt return for a TD we would have won the game.

2 next year too, Ryan Miller and hate to say it, Paul Richardson (will win Belintikof and leave early).

Do you think Hawk will use the fact that Solder and Smith went in first round to validate his delusions that he actually did make a positive difference at Boulder?

Of course, and he will take credit for every win the Buffs have for the next decade because: "He set the table". The guy is delusional...

Richardson wouldn't be three years removed, so he has to stay.

Also I'm hoping RM has a great year and moves into 1st round, but right now, I'd have to say 2-3 round at best. Hope he has a great year though.

Clemons, if learns to catch better...and we pass the ball better...he could be drafted in the middle rounds.

He will. The combo of coaches who are not complete dipshits and the running game that I believe we will have next year will make his positives shine.

So you are saying partial dip**** coaches would be an impovement? I'd have to agree....

hawkins was an epic blight on the face of CU football. he's like a gigantic infected boil. even when it is lanced, there is still the risk of infection, and the swelling and redness persists for quite some time.

fairbanks > hawkins

he'll never coach big boy football again. his legacy is abject, utter, total, complete, and unambiguous failure.

If speedy has a similar if not better campaign as last year it would be hard imagining him not going, and if logan gray is as good as advertised, he might as well. Ryan Miller for sure goes next year barring injury
