EDSBS Gold: WELCOME TO LARRY SCOTT'S ANGULAR HOUSE OF VISION

Sigh... I really don't look at the newsroom enough (I get everything there through twitter already)

That was a pretty fitting homage. Gonna be easy to talk **** to SEC fellows now. They say: anything. I say: Show me the $ bitch.

works with the SEC nicely, we should also call the rest of the Mack10 and see what it's like to take home less money than Wazzu....

already started with the arky roommate. He's SHOCKED at the numbers and simply does not see how its POSSIBLE for ESPN etc to make any money on it. Just doesn't understand how anyone will watch a pac12 game on Fox when arky is playing South Carolina on ESPN.

What did he have to say about making the same or less than Wazzu? :smile2:

doesn't bother him. He appreciates equal revenue sharing. Just mad that THE PREMIER AND BESTEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL CONFERENCE IN TEH WORLD now is THIRD on the earnings chart, and will be for the NEXT 18 YEARS unless they get out of that contract.

that "18 years" snark is going to definitely leave a mark. i intend to use it on an sec guy next week.

Even with the extra $$$, CU's athletic budget isn't going to be anywhere near that of Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, et. al. There will still be a disparity.

Best part is that we will be reupping for even more in 12 years. So the TV revenue disparity will be even more in 2025. Suckers.

who makes a contract with 18 years left on it these days? 18 years ago, the idea of games on ESPN back to back to back was kinda novel....since everyone was still playing at 1:30.

With the deal, CU brings in half of what UT makes instead of one third.

Which also happens to be three times more than CSU instead of double.

Texas is probably a bad example. I suspect they have the largest athletic budget of any school out there. If CU can manage to increase it's athletic budget up to 80% of whatever Alabama or Florida has, I'd be very satisfied. We can do a lot with that kind of budget.

This P12 bonanza makes each conference game worth $4.5M.

That is almost THREE times more than the Rocky Mountain Stupid-downer.

One more reason this long term contact with CSewe stinks.

The best part of the EDSBS thread:

I thought the SEC deal started in 2009 and was a 15 year deal? Pretty sure that means our deals will expire at roughly the same time, along with another conference's deals...I think the networks may be timing that deliberately so that the X network can't point to Y's deal as a benchmark before they get them signed to a new deal.
