D2D did what I thought was the impossible and made my passion shrink significantly for Colorado football.

The passion is back baby! I'm starting to count the days until the season opener and getting really impatient. I am so looking forward to the return of passionate smashmouth Colorado football.

I havent been this excited for football season since my Freshman year. I came to CU just after the 6-7 finish after the Independence Bowl. Looked like the program was poised to make it to the big leagues, we had just brought in a certain 5* recruit, our defense looked promising, but then I saw and experienced the wonder that is Dan Hawkins. This season has a feeling about it, maybe its the newness of everything, but I think it is going to be something special, and something we all will be glad we were around for.

Go Buffs!

:sorry: I really feel bad for this generation of Buff fans.

D2D really killed a lot of my passion and keeping him when he was rumored to have been fired pretty much destroyed what was left. The passion is coming back a bit with Embree, but I'm honestly still at a wait and see point. Gotta see some real improvement week over week, good solid play & coaching, wins, recruiting success (commits, not just being in on the lists of the top guys), ... before I think the passion comes back for me.

I'm sure my excitement levels will rise as I read more about the team and its practices as the summer goes on, but right now I feel no different than during the hawkins era (except for his dead-man-walking last season). this is all just a snapshot of my current feelings, but other than bringing back our old traditions, we're essentially trusting a coaching staff that has very little coordinator/head coaching experience (unless you count high school head coaching experience...which i don't).

I am rooting for this team as much as anyone else, but right now i have the same questions about our talent/execution/mindset as I have any previous summer I've been a CU fan (back in '03). and again, once july/august roll around, and i read some articles, it very well may change.

that is all you got from that vid? why are you here?
No but the blue was post worthy. **** that color. The video was awesome and made me think we're in better hand than I originally thought with Embree and Co. I also posted those before I finished the video.

where do you get that from? i have never heard that before. not bashing you. just never heard that before.

I opened your link and read the Platitudes column.

Plati has a Q&A with Mac on the 25th anniversary of his hiring.

One of the questions was about the Michigan game and the catch. Towards the tail end of Mac's answer, Mac seems to go out of his way to give credit to Rick. It took me off guard.
