USC appeal denied

Hope this is true. Eventhough I don't hate USC, I hate them stealing our recruits! I'm also hearing that USC signed 30 kids last class but can now only sign 15

If appeal was denied, will this affect the 2011 class or will the fact the appeal was pending during signing day permit them to push off the scholly reductions until next two classes?

no effect on the 2011 class. the next three years they can only sign 15/class.

Should help us with some CBs and O line a lot, kind of disappointed that it doesn't affect last years class but at least the NCAA followed through, will be interested to see what happens with OSU, AU, and UNC now.

Ahh, innocence. Just wait until you have to listen to their awful, amplified band play the 2 songs they know in your stadium for an entire game.

My mom's side of the family all went to USC so I've grown up around them and their fans so I have learned to tune it out.

Upside for the Buffs...we now have a one in five chance (instead of one in six) at representing the Pac12 South in the inaugural conference championship game!

If the 75 scholarship player limit take place this year, then it could still impact the 2011 class indirectly. USC is going to have to determine which 75 guys get the ship, and some of the unproven kids could get the axe. Not sure if they would be able to commit elsewhere in the Pac-12 without penalty if they have not yet begun classes at SC.

No, we know. The two-song repertoire is even harder to stomach when you're losing 40-3 and Carson Palmer is still in the game.

I have a feeling that that's going to be how the Oregon game is this fall....:puke:

Expect to see a bunch of scholarship players with mysterious ailments that render them unable to play fairly shortly...

I was thinking about that 40-3 drubbing when somebody suggested a black on black uni for this year's game in the other thread. That game came to mind and the late punt block for six. They were rubbing our nose in it.:bang:

I was so hammered I thought we had a chance right up until the end of the game, when I realized we totaled 65 yards offense . . .

How is it that a team whose fan base are virtually all pampered pricks with limited football knowledge and represented by a gay dude dressed up like a Vegas-style trojan screaming, "hold up your victory signs everybody!!" considered such a great legacy and program? Oh yeah . . . $$$$$$$$$$

The sad part was we got most of that on like the first damn play of the game.

The worst part is weren't we the leader for Palmer for his recruiting signature until Ricky decided to bail for Washington on our biggest recruiting weekend of the year?

I dont know about leading but we were a player. BB, Nik, or Rabbit could probably say whether we led?

Have you ever been to an Oklahoma game? Just asking, cus' their band only knows one song. And they play it 50 times a game.

According to a local paper that will not be named:

"Troy Polomalu, Maurice Jones-Drew, or Carson Palmer are "Buffalos" too because they initially verbally accepted scholarships to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder and then reneged when the coaches who recruited them left Boulder"

I posted similar thoughts on the recruiting board. You never know but they could let a few of the 2011 recruits go and thus open more ships for 2012. As understand it, they can apportion the 30 lost ships over the next few years the way they want.

Ugggh. If I never hear Boomer Sooner again, it will be too soon.

Already had that experience, in 2002. We were in disarray without our starting qb and got torched. Not a fun afternoon.

I didn't follow recruiting as closely then, but I've heard people say that over the years we've lost a number of guys to them who we thought we had (Palmer, Seau, Boselli, to name a few).

This is a big deal. Maybe, just maybe the NCAA is turning a new leaf. Let's see what happens with Tressel. Kind of nice that both are opponents for Colorado next year.

That was the worst game I've ever witnessed CU play. That's really saying a lot considering all the Hawkins led........activities......attended the last few years. Gawd that game SUUUUCCCKKKEEEEDDD
