I am SO glad we're out of this conference

The start of the college football season is nearly a month away, but that did not stop two fans from turning one of the game's biggest rivalries into a knife fight. An argument between a fan for the Oklahoma Sooners and one for the Texas Longhorns escalated into a blade-baring brawl at an Applebee's restaurant in San Antonio, Tex., KENS-TV reported Tuesday.

BIG 12: NEWS AND NOTES

Police were called to the restaurant shortly before midnight Monday after a heated debate between the two men took a nasty turn when the Oklahoma fan pulled out a knife and attacked his Texas counterpart.
Both men, who were not named in the report, reportedly suffered stab wounds in the melee as they struggled to gain control of the knife.
The pair was admitted to University Hospital in San Antonio, according to KENS-TV. The Texas fan was last reported to be in stable condition, while the knife-wielding Oklahoma fan was listed in critical condition. No arrests have been made, KENS-TV reported.

following up on this report... The Longhorn Network aired this sporting event and Texas A & M complained that the show has helped Texas recruit better defensive players since the Texas person was more skillful in knife defending

Dan Beebe has asked for a moratoriam on Applebee knife fighting until the NCAA rules on this issue....

He has asked that it be replaced with a Quidditch League show....

I love my Buffs football but there are limits....I would like to believe I would never have stabbed a Husker....

You may have a point. Hopefully he will prove himself with piss balloons and marshmellow filled nails at home games this year.

I find it hard to believe that an educated CU fan named "fatbuff" misspelled marshmallow. :wow:
